    You won't have eyes tonight; you won't have ears or a tongue. You will wander the underworld blind, deaf, and dumb, and all the dead will know: This is Hector. The fool who thought he killed Achilles.

      It's funny because Paris develops some of his brothers common sense. When they went to the beach and found the horse, the first thing Paris said was to burn it.

    Hector's biggest mistake was that the moment he realized that Helen was on the ship he should have turned back ask 1000x forgiveness and punish his idiot brother accordingly.
    Instead he gave a simple excuse for war. Hector was a fool with principles and payed the price!!

      It was too late, Menelaus would've never forgave he would've just k!lld all 3 of them and his brother who always wanted Troy, would have invaded knowing Hector was d3ad. It was a lost cause as soon as Helen left her castle.

      Nicole Zuriee everything in life leaves consequences. Blame Hector's brother for fucking another man's wife. Then he was too pussy to die in a one on one battle for that same woman. War begins and Hector kills Achilles cousin. Finally of course, Achilles kills Hector. Everything starts from Hector's brother's affairs. So, is Hector a better man than achilles, maybe. If he is also better than his brother and would likely still be alive according to the movie's version of the story.

      Gutvald Diomedes had help from Athena though otherwise he would not have been able to beat Ares. Never read the Illiad(just going by wha people comment on about it) so I am not sure if he had help from Athena when it came to Apollo and Aphrodite but I know she helped him beat Ares. Diomedes sounds badass from what I hear but I think people tend to overhype him when it comes to his accomplishments as he had help from the gods(then again, almost every major chaacter in the story had devine help from time to time). As for the demigods quote posted by yoboyrob201, Achilles was indeed superhuman(stronger than Ajax the Greater who himself was most likely superhuman, faster than Ajax the Lesser who was pretty darn fast, ect.) but not to the extent of TRUE superhumans like Hercules and Kratos who are both physically capable of KILLING the olympian gods\godesses while other demigods are just able to simply stand up to them and, if lucky enough, hurt\wound them.

    • @Gutvald
      @Gutvald 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well I don"t think Greeks stories are enough precise to really make a sort of top 3 of heroes you know, it's not Marvel . I just remember that Diomedes, with the help of Athena, can see the other gods on the battlefield, and hurt Aphrodite, and then flee in front of Hector and Ares. Don"t know if it makes him better than Achille or other, and it's not really the point of the story in my opinion.

    The choreography in this fight says so much: Hector is a highly skilled warrior, but Achilles' every move is tactically brilliant: footwork, timing, balance, everything is perfect. By the end, Hector is sucking wind, yes, and of course he loses, but Achilles himself is breathing hard. As outmatched as Hector was, no one else could have given Achilles such a good fight.

      nah you're full of shit. Achilles fought for Immortality - His name in history remembered forever! That's the greatest cause ever because if nobody remembers you, you may as well never have been.
      Achilles wasn't an immortal, he was just the greatest most skilled and fearless warrior ever. Ppl feared him, making him even harder to fight.
      Hector was a good man, but so was Achilles, he protected Hector's cousin and fought Hector mainly out of anguish because he had slain his cousin.
      The real champ was Achilles, he beat all the greatest warriors fairly and convincingly, stamped his name in history, and was killed by a coward with a cheap shot
