I grew up reading/listening to David Meek and his United coverage - imho he was one of the best journo's of his type and time. For me, your work is of a similar standard; love UWS and loving the book. Keep up the great work, Andy.
Ticket prices, MUFC prices have been relatively cheap for many seasons in comparison to the other clubs. My objection isn't the increase for adults but alienating kids, i still think under 18s should get some discount, after all they are the future supporters and possibly season tickets holders.
Thanks again Andy, you looked different yesterday in Plizen with that coat. Thanks for the update on the Ratcliffe interview. Hopefully on the pitch things improve, but about the stadium it’s near impossible as the Glazers will continue fleecing the club while Ineos tries to steady the ship it’s like a tug of war. Thanks again Andy🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
A lot of respect for a journalist who’s a true ‘normal’ match going supporter & I’m not questioning Andy’s legitimacy, what an exclusive👏 But makes me question why offshore Jim would choose to speak to a fanzine?
That's a great point about all the other teams wanting to be the best as well. It's such fine margins in the Premier League, and even a Championship team can whoop your ass if everything isn't right in the team.
Does anybody out there know whether Fulham FC have concessions for OAP's and kids? I spoke to an OAP West Ham season ticket holder about a year ago and I was stunned when he told me that he paid £250 for his Season Ticket! Thats the bloody reality. 👍🇬🇧
because he is not sexist you bigot. and theres plenty of people support all parts of the club and see the importance of that. take your misogynism elsewhere.
Andy, what do you think about people who live in certain post codes getting a discounted price and everyone else paying the full price? We need to encourage young locals to access their birth right of MUFC. I say this as someone who goes to 5-6 matches a season when I get time and live in London. I’d happily pay more and see myself as a lower priority than locals.
Sadly I think he’s going to build a new stadium which I think will be the wrong decision. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. The atmosphere, the history and the iconic status. No players will care about playing in a new stadium. The media have been pushing for a new stadium when Old Trafford isn’t even that bad now but could be improved. I feel it’s just a media driven agenda which people fell for. We can’t afford 2BN more debt. The owners have to pay for it but obviously the Glazers won’t so why should Jim pay for their share? It should have been a full sale, one way or the other.
Rather than putting ticket prices up. Maybe they should have sold naming rights to old Trafford. It's an iconic stadium known around the world. I'm sure there would be loads of companies interested. It would generated far more money. Than their getting from ticket price hikes.
Ticket prices and getting rid of staff is ok, you can see the results and the system we’re playing, it’s gonna be unbeatable soon, I’m fine with the cull if we keep playing like this..❤️mufc
If the real fans are happy to pay for tickets for the stadium then sound, if we have to sack staff, so what, I only care about winning, what ever it takes, ❤mufc
But a new state of the art stadium key to the future. ….more sponsors, more revenue, more £££ to invest in the team. A dilapidated decaying old style ground even if patched up or added on is utterly disastrous and a running sore. This is THE most important issue for INEOS. It will dictate the next generation.
Having a100k modern stadium will be a big revenue driver, not just for football but boxing, music etc etc. it will be the biggest venue and thus be a prime target for hosting big events.
build a double decker stand the railway side off ground take capacity to 85 k 20k more than anyone else.revamp other areas off ground and around the ground etc. no ones gettin a 100k stadium whos paying for it>be a wembley type bowl of nonsence.new grounds are all the exact same no character at all, annfield villa park stamford bridge still hold a slight old skool vide. juventus are a big club and there new ground holds what 42k etc.manchester united are deluded if they think there gonna get a 100k stadium its not happening old trafford ground and area just needs a revamp.
Ratcliffe isn't who he says he is. I don't trust him or his vision for United. I think he's bad for the club and a godsend for the Glazers and shareholders. United's fans deserve better, and Ratcliffe and INEOS just don't care. Ruthless businessmen not football people.
So if you live in Manchester then you're ticket should be cheaper than someone that lives outside of Manchester..may the greedy get should leaves the ticket prices alone
I can’t stand this moronic attitude from some of our fans. Let me tell you something, if it weren’t for fans who live outside of Manchester the club would be playing in League 2
How dull is this guy all pr it played right into your hands every think said here was exactly the same as what’s happening at nice the rat has to go with the glazer’s
Where is the interview, where is the proof he actually met his mate on that day never mind Sir Jim. Don't believe unless you have proof. If you have to pay to get the supposed truth, question that. The written interview could be a paragraph.
Amazing work but can someone please ask him about the interest that the glazers steal from the club . It's absolutely disgusting that so many "difficult decisions" have to be made but that's leeches can steal . Pathetic

Who is paying for the new stadium??? Exactly the point Andy, and also if and when built, who then will own it in the future?
Well said Andy. All the best Sammy in Dallas
You won't need that super-warm Czech weather coat for Sunday Andy … Jonny's up for the derby!

Ratcliffe is so far removed from the real fans in Manchester. Comparing to Fulham prices ffs what a prick!! Well done andy on challenging and exposing
good man andy
Andy is a proper Red 👌
That's a great point about all the other teams wanting to be the best as well.
It's such fine margins in the Premier League, and even a Championship team can whoop your ass if everything isn't right in the team.
Wouldnt it be great if the players gave a percenawageof their wages to help the fans. What a gesture that would be.!
No chance, our players deserve every penny, this system we’re trying to implement is priceless, our players can’t pay for the fans..
Just a thought.!

who's paying for the stadium ? The fans with the ticket price increase.
amazing. you went back in time to 2014. you must be happy, its only a couple of ears since we wont the league.

online or at OT
Newsagents in Manchester, around the UK and Ireland

The Prawn sandwich stadium?

Fancy releasing the audio Andy?
Read the interview it’s all in there
@@unitedwestandmag shows what you are all about..
Dead right said they were a mistake from the start won quite a few bets on the glazers decision to go with Ratcliffe still kept major shares
Ticket price increases were inevitable with a new stadium
Only if you don’t really have the funds to own the club.

@@Align500prothen your a glory hunter who doesn't care about the club at all 😂
With United desperate for revenue those cup draws have come at the worst time because the anticipated exits will add further pain to our PSR issues.
There's no point in having a 100,000 seater stadium if nobody wants to go.

I want to go!
Stupid comment mate. United are the biggest supported club in the world. They should have nothing less than a 100k stadium.
Apparently there are still available tickets for thr United Derby... 10 years ago, it was a sell out.
Now, its only the club that is a sell out.
Having a100k modern stadium will be a big revenue driver, not just for football but boxing, music etc etc. it will be the biggest venue and thus be a prime target for hosting big events.
ffs 66 pound for a ticket ,im sorry ill never set foot in there again,i used to be able to get a season tickit for the stretford end for that
And I used to be able to buy 3 pints with a fiver
Did you say independent journalists?
Ineos to announce a ‘strategic process’ to seek new investment in the club. 🤐
INEOS have no business being involved with the club.
Look at Ratcliffe’s other sporting ventures, prepare for failure.his attention is in a million places and United deserves better.

Andy its 2024 mate lol hate to tell ya
I was hoping he was right, I could have left my ex before I even met her 😅
very dissapointed with radcliffe there is no stadium coming and the 1st thing he said 12 months ago was im not in it for the money 😂😂😂😂
Plastics king ruñning a plastic club . Well suited. 😅
So if you live in Manchester then you're ticket should be cheaper than someone that lives outside of Manchester..may the greedy get should leaves the ticket prices alone
Makes zero sense as fans from outside Manchester have to stump up for travel and accommodation on top of ticket prices.
