We should put the spare bags in ONE bag, twist tie it and place in bottom of bin. That way, if there is leakage, the bags remain clean and all we have to do is change the one bag that they are in!
i would never keep the roll of bags in the bottom of the bin. If you are telling us to wash it once a week, as it obviously needs it, then why keep the bags there. How many of us have had leaks in our kitchen bin and find all manner of grossness in the bottom when emptying the bag? total contamination UGH!!! A big NO from me to storing the spare bags there.
I only store extra bags at the bottom of my garbage can for dry garbage I too worry about leaks plus I sprinkle carpet freshener on the bottom of the fresh garbage bag
Never. Never store the new garbagge bags in the bin! When the old one leaks or leaving some foul smell your new bags will ALL be affected.
Putting a roll of bags in the bottom of a waste paper bin works but not a kitchen rubbish bin! Peter you didn’t think that one through!

You can store a few on the side of the trash bin.
