a ManCity fan here. I am not too hyped up for the next season with Haaland arrival. Haaland is good but we've had Aguero in the past Having striker affect in general the game , too much concentration on one player.
For me a win in any cup final, arrive in last stages of UCL . that is my definition of win for next season. Because "going" gets much much harder when you have back to back success.

Yes, a good motivating manager is essential in order to win titles.
Many of United's expensive buys are no longer at the club - Di Maria, Lukaku, Memphis, Mkhitaryan, Herrera, Blind and so on. Players bought for different managers who want different things and then they're of no use to the next guy. Pep's team was being built before he even arrived at the club and he has been allowed to buy players and then replace them. Structure and planning is everything. Pep is a brilliant manager but United have had great managers too in the last 10 years, just all let down by Woodward, Judge and ultimately the Glazers.
