I’m happy to see u both back on two wheels & camping, it’s exciting to see what u both get up to next. You have so much great advise to share with all ur viewers. Richie i can see u have a big passion wen ur working on ur haley i’ve watch all ur vid’s u guys have given me so much more inspiration to travel on my motorcycle BMW K1600 GT Tourer further & further in Syd Australia 🇦🇺 i just got back couple weeks ago from big ride Syd / Tamworth to North coast to Coffs harbour Take care lovely people❤❤ Ride safe 😎🏍️👍
I live on the Olympic Peninsula. Every summer it's road work. Every winter it's landslides, sinking asphalt and flooding rivers in the spring. Campgrounds on the peninsula are booked up a year in advance. Us locals grab our tents, throw our E bikes in the 4x4 and head off on the National forestry roads. We may sleep in our vehicle or tent because the forest service roads are not RV friendly. We mostly avoid the National Park entrances because of the wait times. There are several roads accessing parts of the Olympic National Park that are unmanned and open to the public with no lines. There are rainforests in the National forest, places where you can be alone. We use our park road maps and quadrangle maps to explore. Our E Bikes are great tools to check out sketchy forest roads. Washington Dept of transportation has maps showing where all the roadwork is occurring.
Thank you both for taking time to put out a video. We miss ya and hope all is going better for you. I know now if we make it to the far northwest we will drive the park.
Glad Chris can laugh cause I always say I would rather laugh than cry. I live vicariously through you guys. I really need a smaller bike so I could continue to ride some at least.
If you have reservations and that’s your destination then it’s worth it. But if you’re planning on making it a day trip then you have to factor the wait time. This is true with all the big popular parks like Yosemite and Yellowstone.
Once waited 1/2 hr for one of them construction stops only for my destination a mile down the road to be closed for the day, got to turn around and wait for a 1/2 hr going the other way! Thanks for the video on this cold Wisconsin day guys!
We attempted that same ride on a Street Glide in July 2023. Yes, you would definitely be better off with a dirt bike, or 4X4. Both road were in the same condition. Lol. We made it to the visitor's gate at the Ho Rain Forrest where they said it was at least a 1hours wait. Since it was already late in the day we left. Great video. 😊
Thank you for the video. I really enjoy tagging along on your adventures! They are always entertaining and informative. What kind of portable tire inflator is that? I love that you can check the pressure without taking it off of the valve.
I’m glad to see the videos you guys did in 22 and I’m sorry you had a bad experience in the Olympic Peninsula. Being a local the Ho Rain forest is a great place if you’ve never been but, just getting to the entrance is a massive pain. We do the 101 about every other year and vow to never do it again south of Forks because of the road repair. But, we do and then fuss about it for a year. Have fun, ride safe and enjoy the Arkansas hills.
I'm very happy to find your video this morning. I was just wondering if you were still making these great videos, and here you are. Hopefully, we'll meet again in No. Ga, when the weather warms up again soon. Great episode. I'd say some days you eat the bear and some days the bear eats you. SCHWEET!!!
I want to say thank you for all the info you put out!! Two years ago you did a segment in Texarkana about boondockers welcome. We are not full time but the Boondockers welcome has be come one of our favorite ways to travel. We have be come host in south central Illinois. We have also stay at Candy Cane Corral and have become very good friends with Perry and Jan and Georgia. Thank you. We have made amazing new friends both on the road and at home thanks to you. I didn’t realize you had take a brake but I have missed both of you. Ron
Chip and seal is ok, last August my son and I were in the Four Corners head to Durango. We sit in traffic for an hour and finally got to go. Road work was down to one lane for 8 miles. To make it worst the cut the asphalt up down to the dirt and loose gravel. You couldn’t have drove a ten penny nail up my backside. We both were all over the place. Plus about half way across it came a blowing dust storm. It was the worst 8 miles of our 6,000 mile ride. I was so glad to get to the mountains that afternoon.
I think you can buy TPSs to screw onto valve stems, so no need to have them "on the bike" if you're willing to bust out an app on your phone. But on bikes like the tiger where you can reach the valve stems without becoming a contortionist, it's bound to be quicker, cheaper, and more reliable to carry a quality tire pressure gauge. Just check at regular intervals like weekly or every 500 miles or something. And anytime after a bike sits a while before going. Keep in mind that pressure will vary with temperature, so when getting all anal about setting an exact number, it's gonna be off as soon as the temperature changes a few degrees.
The tire minders I have on the HD had saved us more then once while riding down the road. AZ. UT both states I had slow leak and it was caught by the temp sensor in the device. So I’ll keep em.
I am so glad to see you back in the saddle again! I've been missing your adventures. I live in Arkansas and would love to ride along with you sometime.
Rich and Chris, it's nice to add your you tube video to our Sunday evening watch list again. Plus you're showing your ride through the area we lived and worked in for twenty years. I've ridden many of the roads you've shown many times on my bike. If you would have asked anyone local they'd probably tell you the avoid that Quinault loop. Thanks for Sharing! 🙃🙂
Yeah I ALWAYS forget to account for road works on my travels. So when the GPS tells me its 6 hours to my destination I never think that it could be a LOT longer then that. I recall one year I lost count on how many roadworks I encountered but it was super painful and obviously not very enjoyable over almost 2000km. There are websites that tell you where the roadworks are BUT every trip I take I always forget to look at that :)
I carry brass 90° extensions for my darkside rear tire on my gl1800. I carry the same pump dyna plug kit. If you need air it’s easier to screw these on and take them off
You two have inspired me, along with various other bike campers. i ride a 2017 heritage softail, and bought a cheep tag-a-long trailer form harbor freight, was wondering if you use a heaver oil for the gearbox ? or just the recommended oil in the manual? Need to do all three oil changes, and get a new tire, then I'm hitting the trail. Any info will be welcomed. thank you, keep up with the videos!
Thanks for the inspiration. When I met Coach Jones in PHX, he put My Ms. Alice on Mobile 1 pure synthetic 20w-50 v-twin oil in the engine and primary and I run 70-110 or 85w-140 gear oil in the transmission. That heavy trans oil make the bike shift so much smoother
awesome, I was alittle worried about that I checked, and was recommeded to use that same oil, I guess its the same . called gearsaver, from bel-ray 85w-140@@TwoWheelsBigLife
On the bright side it didn’t start raining on you. 😂. I hate those one lane ahead delays. NP entrance back ups ugh!!! Yellowstone coming off Beartooth Hwy. Aweful. Had no other choice we were committed. Didn’t get to our destination Missoula, MT till 11:30 pm. All because we wanted to ride Beartooth Hwy one more time. Still enjoyed your video. 😊❤

I'm glad to see you back on two wheels. I've missed your adventures and how well you describe them. Bravo....
Love your vids. Great information! Good to acknowledge not every day goes as planned / expected / hoped for.
Glad you like them!
On the bright side you toured around in a rainforest on a bright and sunny day. 🏍
Yes very true. No rain the entire time we were there
Good to see you guys back on the road.
Missed you two pray all is well !
All is awesome. Thanks

My pet peeve is waiting in lines. I do not want to do that. Thanks for always showing us the good and bad. One of my favorite channels
You are so welcome!
We are sooo glad y’all are back!! Thank you, Rich and Chris!!
That road looked pretty much the same 5 years ago when I was riding on it as far as the traffic stops for construction
So much more patience than I have!!
I'm still amazed at how great the weather was for y'all. No wonder it was so busy. Hope y'all got a chance to enjoy the campground at least.
We did The next video is of that. Thanks
missed you both, pleased to see you back xxx
All the laughter made this video enjoyable. Making lemonade out of a lemon of a day. Thanks for sharing, that was fun. Jayman...
Glad you enjoyed it

Wish they were still making these shows
I'm just SO glad that y'all are well. Welcome back!

Very Cool! 😎 I'm glad to see you back on two wheels!
Thanks! 👍
I was stationed at Ft. Lewis from '76 to '78 and explored all over the area. There were far less people and cars on the road back then.
Thanks for the video and enduring the traffic. Now i know i won't go there and be frustrated with traffic. Glad your back making videos again.😊
Thank you for posting this. I’ve missed you guys. Love you and keep up the vlogs!!!

I’m not waiting in traffic like that to get into any tourist attraction. I don’t care how awesome it is!!!

It`s nice to see you again. I hope you have been doing well.
Thanks, you too!
Glad you all are back
Been to Hoh early in the morning. Never had any problem with lines. That was in august and the middle of the week.
We did that ride in July of 21 they were working on road , lots of traffic and it was cold. Loved it
Some days are like that but even that was better than sitting at a desk somewhere you hate
Nice to see youse guys. Thanks for the video

I'm just offering options for her bike, not suggesting you remove what's on your bike.
all good I was just commenting on how much they saved me. didn't mean for that to come across bad
You guys have such fun videos. Love these!

Wow, the Lazarus' return!!! Wa-hoo!!!
Pretty place.
Good to see y'all, it has been a while since I saw you on the road. Missed you.
Where you been for ages, missed the weekly input .

It just property now at some time we plan have it available for camping
