Love that you included a T. Rex riff. Marc Bolan's riffs and songs are really underrated in my opinion, glad that someone recognizes that he was more than just glitter and a pretty face.
How are you so good at getting these tones? Just listening to this video I was impressed by how much these riffs sound like the records they came from!
Here's some favourite guitar riffs of mine 1979 - Smashing Pumpkins Blister in the sun - Violent Femmes Over and Over and Over - Jack White Monsters - Matchbook Romance Ziggy Stardust - David Bowie Heaven on their minds - Jesus Christ Superstar Undone - Weezer Out with a bang - Self Never Meant - American Football
Any legendary riffs: - Blur - Song 2 - David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust, The Man Who Sold The World - The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again - Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall - The Police - Message In A Bottle
Same here with external pedals. For that reason I tend to just use a foot switch to switch between clean and distorted channels on the amp. I use the clean channel for the clean parts with gain and then switch to the 'crunch' channel for the distorted parts, or switch on the booster. Depends really. There was also a firmware update last year for the Katana, I don't know if that's something you could do also. There was some new sounds and settings in the tone studio that you can use to help you shape the tone even more.
I’m a huge fan of clean solid state amps, and here’s my two cents on getting a good drive sound from external pedals (I don’t have a Katana, but I think it should still help). Solid states are gonna be brighter and more fizzy and sharper than tube amps. If you like a tearing drive sound that’s great, but otherwise you might need to tame your high end. You also gotta realize a lot of drive sounds are pushing a driven amp. So stacking boost/dirt/distortion pedals into an amp-style overdrive can really help.
@@zachary963 honestly i think it is just the katana. i got rid of that thing and got myself a tone master twin reverb, i did the exact same eq and the distortion sounds way better. it’s at low volume on 1 watt, yes the 2 speakers make a difference but the katana just sucked from the get go.
I love everything you do. I don’t know why you’d change your name tho, too many Bloxsy’s? A few years back you had a version of Just Like Honey that made me cry. A beautiful boy sang it to me once long ago, he sounded a lot like you. Anyways he is long gone, but now I noticed that your original video is gone. Maybe I am mistaken 🤔 Anyways thanks for all the joy
This one? th-cam.com/video/fahqm-aNjQA/w-d-xo.html Thank you for the kind words. The Block was an old name, then Blocksy, then Bloxsy. I guess I just can’t make my mind up.
I've always felt like the riff of dazed and confused should be recognized as legendary or more widely known. Of all the guitar riffs videos I've seen I rarely see it included. Despite it sounding sinister and looks to fun to bend the strings
Damn THIS TONE.
Your guitar skills are great but your ability to replicate legendary tones is just beyond me.
Sad to know this series may end, it had an amazing run tho
Love that you included a T. Rex riff. Marc Bolan's riffs and songs are really underrated in my opinion, glad that someone recognizes that he was more than just glitter and a pretty face.
I did a separate video on T.Rex riffs. He had some great riffs and songs.
As soon as I saw this, I opened it. This goes to tell you how awesome your guitar videos are! 🎉
Aw thanks dude. I really appreciate it.
Thank you for playing Paranoid correctly. Nobody does that. You’re the first TH-camr I’ve seen do it how it was ACTUALLY played!
I've been waiting for this video!
good one. Can you do the "Not lengendary at all" version?
Nothing feels better than learning all of these
That enter sandman tone👌🏻
This hole video is the guitar centre nightmare .. 😂😂
True. I don’t know what I was thinking doing this 😅
My neighbors love these riffs, too. They hear them every night at three in the morning.
that little Fender musicmaster/duo-sonic or whatever it is sounds amazing
The tone is crazy good
I always enjoy your videos
How are you so good at getting these tones? Just listening to this video I was impressed by how much these riffs sound like the records they came from!
Thanks dude.
Maybe not so legendary but I used to crank out Nobody's Fault but Mine it's a cool deeper cut & a good riff
I used to love playing How Many More Times in my band practices.
Absolutely sick tone on that Cyclone on 'Voodoo'
Thanks man.
Much better Beatles riffs than Paperback Writer imo. Love the channel!

Voodoo Chile is such a cool riff
Which amp do you use or with what gadget do you get all those different sounds? I should get one as well.
Thanks I’m using a boss katana 50 mk2. All sounds are from there.
what setting do you use for the katana? i can get great cleans but it sounds terrible when i use my external distortion pedals.

A1 Music in Manchester had a note on the door stating that anyone playing Smoke on Water would be immediately ejected from the shop. 😂😂😂😂
One word. Super
Thanks dude.

@@bloxsy_ I am literally crying rn, thank you, thank you, I don’t know you but I love you
🤟😍🤟
I can see on your neck on voodoo child that you're mouthing the riff and it's hilarious because i do the same lmao
Very nice.
awesome!
i love your videos
Thanks dude
Lindo demais ver você tocando...
What Gibson guitar were you using in the video? It looks similar to the guitar that Eric stewart used in 10cc. Thanks, Deacon Hill
It's a Vintage V100
Principalmente o Nirvana... sou muito fan.
Nice to see u play Metallica
I've always felt like the riff of dazed and confused should be recognized as legendary or more widely known. Of all the guitar riffs videos I've seen I rarely see it included. Despite it sounding sinister and looks to fun to bend the strings
i know its not in the video, for to me its better than other famous riffs
We need a video called "Top 10 best Guns N' Roses best riffs " on TH-cam!
Maybe you should top 10 guitar riffs from the 1950s?
China Grove - Doobie Brothers
Too iconic to have missed. Otherwise great job!
the black guitar is a vintage v100?
Yeah that's correct.
🎉🎉🎉
Next video: top 10 Jimi Hendrix's riffs
Of course Hendrix had to be the only one twice on the list
what amp do you use?
Boss Katana
Am I the only one who heard that last one and went "Hmmm, what's Hulk Hogan doing here?" 😁
Great video. 👍
U said you would do waist by sonic youth🥺
Sorry I forgot. I will do it.
I prefer SRVs version of voodoo chile but both are great
Riffs that will get you kicked out of guitar center lol.
I noticed that you’ve changed your channel name, any particular reason?
It was my old name. I've changed it several times but my username is still the same.
wheres “do i wanna know” by the artic monkeys 😭
more like 20 copyright claims
Can you do Green Day?
I did a Green Day one already :) th-cam.com/video/3Ij3Y6tuSuE/w-d-xo.html
Thanks
Geek Stink Breath is a tune
Can you do famous emo/pop punk riffs of the 00s?
Bro just played the most popular rock riffs not the most legendary
Most popular are typically the most legendary numbnuts
same thing no?
Sweet child of mine tho…. 🤯
All my favorites seem to require double humbuckers.. I think the universe is telling me to get a guitar.
That digital distortion is unpleasantly harsh.
The sound of the guitar you play is very reproducible!
Guitar center worker POV:
Buckethead is that you?????????
Like deployed 👍
Этот мужик нас обманывает - абсолютно точно подобранные эффекты на звук + руки немного опаздывают >:-[
I had trouble syncing the picture to the sound. It may not be perfect, but there is no deception.
Polly.
I love to jam with you 😊
The second song hear like Led Zeppelin's
WHEN (riff)????? 🤬🤬🤬
Those Rolling Stones and T Rex riffs suck lol
This but with day tripper and sweet child o mine, doesn’t really hold up with the rest lol
The Kinks, yeeesss ❤❤❤❤
Old ass 2 notes riffs paired with bruh tone and bad playing = perfection
Where's Fuzzy N Wild? Wild Angel? Baja?
Gotta be honest. I've never heard any of these but thanks. I'm always keen to check out new riffs and songs.
