While editing I realized how easily I could have done them wheel wells with just one dot instead of multiple like I did. Noob mistake. Lol I'll show what I mean in the next video because now I want to make a fantasy car model! 🎉
Very cool! I’ve designed and printed tons of stuff I created in tinkercad. I’m glad this showed up in my feed - now I gotta watch your other videos haha!
Glad to have ya! Welcome. There are 77 videos I think, so plenty to take a look at! That's cool that you've made and printed lots using Tinkercad. Lots more videos on the way also!
Yes! Absolutely! I hope they keep adding more and more. I wouldn't even mind a pro version that you would download and install on your PC at a decent price. That would probably allow for funding to make upgrades faster and make Tinkercad into a powerful workspace.
One of the things you can do with the car is to duplicate the entire car, shrink the dimensions by 3 mm in height, and 6 mm in length and width, turn the smaller one into a void, and then use that to hollow out the inside, creating a shell. Some cleanup around the wheel wells, and you can make your own shell for Matchbox car chassis etc.
Oh very good idea!!!! Then probably flip it upside down to print it, but I guess either way it will need supports to print. I should try to find a cheap RC car that has a removable body! 🤔
@@TinkercadWorld-ho8ht As an alternative, provide a flat surface on the side, and then print on it's side, to minimize the amount of support. (Especially if you're using tree supports.)
Just starting to learn this new feature also. Great video. I hope they bring the chanfer and bevel tool in also. Being alble to round edges is a great feature. Coming from years of Autodesk123D use, they could make tinkercad even greater. :)
Honestly, it doesn't look like it can do any of that. It's pretty darn basic actually but I'm still happy I have something new to play with. Lol In the future I would like to start another channel with a more powerful program. Do you have any recommendations? I will still keep this channel going because tinkercad has a place in my heart.
Hello! 👋 This isn't the official channel for tinkercad just fyi. But I do hope they get it running smoothly soon on the app. I've never tried the app. I always just use my PC, but I'm going to check it out for sure! 😊
Very nice what you show, but I noticed that if you merge a sketch object with another tool you can no longer export it to Fusion 360. It takes the merge apart and you get a completely different object than you exported from Tinkercad. Too bad, I often make the edges rounded with Fusion 360 but that is no longer possible.
Oh nooooo, that stinks. So even if you group it all before exporting it still separates it when you try to put it in 360? Sounds like a bug that they will most likely fix I hope. I've never used 360 but I probably should take a look at it. Lol
11:26 Are you seriously judging the usefulness of this tool based on your first 11 mins of use? You go against the ethos of what Tinkercad as all about.
People still use tinkercad? Last I heard it had no updates for years and still was charging a heafty price to purchase it while being seriously outdated.
The online version that I've always used is free. Is there a paid version. I agree that it is outdated and probably way behind some of the more powerful programs. I do think it's a great free place to start out modeling and the program is online so users don't even have to install it. What's the most popular program people are using nowadays? Eventually I want to learn another more powerful program.
@@TinkercadWorld-ho8ht FreeCad has become the best choice nowadays. It's extremely powerful parametric cad program. Tons of tutorials out there to get you starting.

You kind of got the "just" of it?
Glad to see this new tool! Thank you for sharing, & appearing on my feed! I feel like a kid with a new toy! 😊

It they added an easy fillet/chamfer i would be unstoppable

Yeah.last time 123D have chamfer n fillet and other features too@@TinkercadWorld-ho8ht
Very similar to Lightburn, so this will be very handy :)

I've been waiting for you to use this tool!! Great video
Yay! Were you the one that told me about it?
@@TinkercadWorld-ho8ht i don't think so
Now what I need is an image reference tool
Use the drawing plane to change the edit orientation!

Yes!! absolutely!! You're the second person to say that. I hope they will add them features in the future...sooner than later. Lol
A filet tool would change everything! I'm waiting patiently.
I have been waiting for a tool like this. I hope you can do things like loft and shell with this tool.

Maybe plasticity or selfcad, they seem alittle easier jump from tinkercad than to something like fusion or blender
Great video. I totally forgot you could make cutouts, with the sketch tool.
@@Chris_h_santos Hey thanks! Yeah, I'm learning more and more that custom cutouts are extremely useful!
This is an awesome new feature...but man... FILETs and CHAMFERs please!!!
Hello This is a good video top. Where can I find this application in Tinkercad? Keep it up
It's on the right side mixed in with the basic shapes. In the beginning of the video you'll see me hovering my mouse cursor over it. 👍
This is cool. But chamfers on any edge and possibility to place the pivot point when turning an object would be the real game changer.
Yeah! There's definitely room for improvement. I just hope they keep working on it in a timely manner.
Those are called bézier curves 👍
I sure hope you guys can get the mobile app to run smoother but this tool is a much needed addition

Now you know how CyberTruck was designed
It draws like Adobe Illustrator.
But now you can make a cool cutter/hole to alter your sphere

what is coming next⁶
I think it was snapping, but you had a very tiny grid.
Yeah, you're right !! I noticed that afterwards also. But snapping at specific angles would also be helpful, like it does when you turn an object.
To jest dopiero od 2 dni.
Oh good! So I'm not late to the party. Lol
