- On Father's Day 2023, the Indiana Northeastern Railroad hosted two very different steam locomotives on its rails. The headliner of the weekend was Nickel Plate Road 765, a large 2-8-4 Berkshire, which hauled an all-day excursion across three states from Edon, Ohio through the Northeastern corner of Indiana to Hillsdale, Michigan. Just a few miles away, Little River Railroad 110, the smallest standard gauge 4-6-2 Pacific ever built, was pulling a series of short specials between Coldwater and Quincy, Michigan. In this video we see both engines at work, with a particular focus on the 765 as it makes its long trek through the Midwestern countryside.
There'e me at 4:29 in the dark blue shirt with the camera. I was the very last person poking my head out at the end of the Emery, lol. Awesome video! You've captured lots of magical moments.
Thank you! It looks like ya'll were having fun.
I was riding the 110 trip, we chased the first one and then when we were in Quincy, I was talking to a few railfans who mentioned 765. We had completely forgotten about it lmao
765 loves to pull excursions
Great video!
Thanks!
Very nice catches
Thank you very much!
The guys who run this steam engine are super cool. I showed up to the shops one day knocked on the door and just asked if I could come in and look at the locomotive and They were cool with it. I climbed up in the cab and took a bunch of photos. Pre covid though
It's nice to see a variety of different American steamies, I admit. I hope to see Klondike Katie sometime, I really miss her.
Good news, I'm hoping to see 192 sometime this month.
Yes 192 enters service tomorrow morning continuing for the next 30 days till the next locomotive rotation
Sweet catches and great video
Thank you very much!
@@SmokyMtnSteam Permission to use your footage of Southern SW`1 #1007 from 13 years ago for an upcoming video on the engine? I will give you credit in the video.
@@Pensyfan19 Go right ahead.
@@SmokyMtnSteam would NYC 5406 a streamline Hudson be in 200 locomotives.
Great video! I was on the Emery and I think I glimpsed myself a few times.
Very cool, I hope you enjoyed the ride.
Just out of curiosity, where are the coordinates for the spots at 10:28 and 12:17?
Sauk River Dr in Coldwater and Ridge Rd west of Quincy
Thanks 👍
Stellar video. I thoroughly enjoyed the pan shot at 19:18.
Thanks!
First time seeing 765?
Third. I saw it in the Cuyahoga Valley in 2016 and on the Joliet Rocket in 2018.
@@SmokyMtnSteam Got it. I must've forgot about those vids you did. My bad.
I hope it comes to the southern states like Texas, as I live there.
Great Video!
Thanks!
