It's more like a must-watch Cheech TH-cam! I will say one thing about NJ: Yeah, I am great, at least in my own mind. Watching you tie these in person was a highlight of a good year. The video is first-rate, as usual. And will the dig at Kelly, well, Kelly is just being Kelly. I am on my lunch break. I am up in New Hartford, CT, on the West Branch. It's a warm one for December. I sure like my iPad; I can sit, eat, and be educated all simultaneously.
You could make a killer shrimp pattern with that keeling technique!! How big of a hook do you think is the absolute max size that this keeling technique will work on? I was thinking your baitfish tied this way but larger and with a heavier hook with black and purple would be killer for tarpon!
It’s called a carding block. They are available all over the internet. I think hareline sells one specifically geared towards fly tying. It’s more or less the same thing here but more expensive. I also use 2 dog brushes but never do that much at one time.
Couldn't you just make a dubbing brush with the wool to make the head ? Very cool! Will work very well for a Goby fish also. Look out smallies and walleye!
@@theredfishchronicles7929 you could. Might be harder to shape the head and get it to turn out. Also, EP fibers float, so if you have a Big dense clump of them the fly might not swim correctly. Wool absorbs like a sponge.
Brilliant tying cheech you really do come up with some amazing fly patterns !👏
We need some underwater footage like your TOAD Sculpin. Great tie!

Awesome fly!
cheech is my hero
That looks pretty darn on point already. Excited to see when/if you can improve it.
Could you show us what it looks like in the water? Thanks for giving us such a detailed video, always enjoy watching your tying videos!
Beautiful tying, Cheech!
@@FullingMillTV thanks!
Very nice.
5:40 I see a happy little tree 🎄
Really well done. Would love to see this fly in the Tester!

Where might I acquire a brush pad like the one featured in this video?

@@johnlaurin8899 you certainly could. Getting a brush all to the same length and consistency can be kind of hard.
Sculpin wool is great, but could you do the same with EP Fibers? I am thinking about a mudminnow pattern now... Sculpin 1.0 "The Raccoon Fish"
