This is my reaction to watching 5 Reasons NOT to Move to Australia video for the very first time.
1). You are “spot on” about making friends. That’s international. Expats tend to congregate together, regardless of the country. Indians in Australia. Aussies in the middle east. Latinos in America. Americans in Asia. “China Towns” in most Capital Cities of the developed world.
2). Rules. Yep, got it. An orderly society is a good society. It becomes a problem when narcissists are enforcing it. Nothing wrong with community expectations and social norms. Don’t throw your rubbish in the street, put it in the bin. Stand in line. Fair enough. Bicycle helmets encroaches into another field altogether, personal rights to endanger yourself. You can’t “bubble wrap” society. Do “no harm” to others is a sensible approach.
3). Slow internet is a problem that will be solved by satellite, rather than the billions spent on cables to homes.
4). “Tall Poppy Syndrome”. This young bloke has no idea what he’s even talking about. Zip, zero, zilch. He’s absolutely clueless, and with no self awareness.
5). It’s “far away”. Excellent observation, Eisenstein. So is Siberia.
"AUSTRALIA FAR AWAY?!" Rubbish! It's right outside my front door!
It's the *rest of the world that too far away* 😉.
😂
Jay walking is fine. Never heard of it being an issue. If you dont greet a cop with a swear word they might think you are a bit touched and arrest you to keep the public safe.
They're all true but he didn't explain number 4 very well , wasn't even close to what it really means
Jay walking isn't a thing at least not here in Perth, I jaywalk all the time and have done it in front of cops, never been ticketed. Also what is this fishing licence crap? Is that a thing in the eastern states?
Never heard of it and I'm in Queensland.
Definitely a thing in Melbourne! Mainly in the city 😉
A total load of BS
