Hello Doctor…..I’m doing my internship as well….Do you plan on writing the PLAB exam if so do you know how to prepare for the same?Kindly respond as soon as possible.
It's up to you- an academic degree helps you broaden your own experience and understanding of the topic you wish to undertake. As mentioned in the video as well, it adds points to your training application. And, potentially, it can increase your income if you pursue roles later in your medical career where the degree is useful (ex: program director, medical direction, director of medical education, etc).
Hi, doctor Ibreez, what kind of masters are you pursuing right now? And do you need an additional BSc (different from the mbbs we have) for that? Also doesn't it require us 6 years to get a PR in UK? So wouldn't most people be it as an international student, not as a resident, unless i misunderstood your point? By "legal resident" did you mean as if having a Tier 2 visa instead?
1) Healthcare management & leadership 2) 5 years for indefinite leave to remain 3) You're on a visa already so there would be no reason they'd consider you an international student. They aren't sponsoring you on a student visa.
Long awaited video.thank you so much! Can you elaborate on how schedules work when you have a full time commitment at the hospital and you have to attend classes say 2-3 times a week
What seems a good time to do an academic degree. I am on my plab journey and have gained some healthcare management experience. I wish to get a degree in it besides speciality training and make a career of it in the longer run.
Hello Dr. Thank you Ibreez for all these incredibly informative videos. You are very helpful during my journey and I appreciate your efforts! I am trying to understand academic clinical fellowship, which is a structured program for individuals who want to pursue an academic career. I couldn't find your video on this topic. Since you're doing a master's degree I am curious why you didn't choose the ACF? What are the advantages/disadvantages of ACF and extracurricular ways to obtain a degree?
Hey! I have completed my second year of med school just entering into the third and from a while i have been thinking of my options to work abroad after my degree. I am really interested in working in australia after my med school and i came across this suggestion that taking the PLAB/UKLME route and then moving to australia through the Competent Authority Pathway after getting the GMC registration and working in the UK for 1 year is the easiest option. But i still feel there are some clarities to be made in that, so i just wanted to ask if you guys know anyone who took this pathway or anyone who guides for this process? Anyway the content you guys make is excellent and i hope you guys grow as much as possible here on youtube🌸🌸
Hey! Anyone PLEASE answer this. If we want to pursue a PhD while we're training can we do so while on a tier 2/ skilled worker visa status, will we be able to do so? Considering that taking a PhD means putting the clinical duties on hold and getting a phd, then after obtaining a PhD, then starting clinical training back again. What did you mean when you said settled visa status? Did you mean obtaining an ILR?
Yes, settled status is an ILR or citizenship. You could do your PhD part time or take a year out of training to complete it full time. To take the year out, you will need a settled status.
@@RoadToUK how can one do a PhD part time while on the tier 2 visa? From what i know you also need to earn the national pay scale while working on a tier 2 visa. I think you'll earn lesser than that if you take up a PhD part time so i just wanted to know how this can work out? Are there people who get their PhDs while still on a tier 2 visa?
Hello dear doctor your inbrief description was really informative and helpful thank you so very much. Would you also be kind enough to share with us what Masters degree have you started to persue in the uk right now. Thank you.
