The entire Queen of the Murder Scene album is a concept album. Dany's performance is of the story told by the main character. You will notice as the concert progresses Dany's transformation. The Warning will never sign with a label because the girls demand 100% ownership of their music and creative control. No label will sign them because of this ultimatum. BTW each chapter has three songs.
Crimson Queen was made as part of a concept album, so all of the lyrics are part of a story as the main character, the Crimson Queen, falls in love with someone who isn’t in love with them and is driven into madness. This song comes right after Dust to Dust, which was the intro. In this song you are introduced to the Crimson Queen as the main character. She is in love with this man “you are my fantasy” and she is struggling with the fact that he doesn’t seem to even notice her. This song is truly considered to be Dany’s song, who not only wrote the acoustic guitar part but most of the lyrics as well. If you think Dany gets into this performance, just wait until further on in this show. She has better stage acting than most artists I’ve seen! Next song is Ugh. Really looking forward to that one!

I think it was Pau that made a statement in an interview (someone with more knowledge will let me know if I got this right) That they would rather play for an audience 12 doing their thing, than 12,000 for a label. If no one has mentioned it, they are completely fan funded through Patreon (over 750 Patrons) and KickStarter. I love it when someone like your self goes all in when they hear and see them for the first time.
A new subscriber, I already knew that this reaction was going to be out of the ordinary, I like that you pay special attention to the lyrics and the feeling that it already transmits with the music. And on top of that you do it with my favorite band and from this song I leave it to your imagination because my words cannot describe what I feel every time I listen to it.

(And no, she is not a dwarf Japanese maple tree! lol) Dany sings from the heart, and she is always in character when performing a song. Dany consistently gives a complete performance!! It is very theatrical, and you can see in her face, and hear in her voice as they go through the album, and in this live performance, that she actually takes on the character. I have a vision of a woman sitting alone, looking through pictures, memories, tears in her eyes while obsessing over unrequited love. I"m telling you, you are in for a ride. It's a story about obsession and murder. Only it's not graphic, it's more about the mental state of the woman as she goes through this. Not too shabby considering all of these songs were written buy girls in their early to mid teens, in their second language at that.
This is a conceptual album. It tells a story about love, madness, murder and death. Going in order is the only way to do it and understand it, especially since you review the lyrics before playing.
If my memory serves me correctly, Dany was 18, Pau 16 & Ale 13 during this show, which was to launch their 2nd LP. So all these songs from QoTMS they were performing live in front of a crowd for the first time, if you can believe that. 😀
Such a powerful, emotional performance! Great band! I first discovered The Warning because of a reaction channel that Peter B. was running. He was promoting this band big time but has since quit TH-cam (probably because of all their bullsh*t). I have suggested their music to a few reactors and I am so glad that you've jumped on board with them and are helping to give them the exposure they so rightly deserve. The only significance the lyrics have is that they fit the character and story they dreamed up. The passion comes from these young ladies being very theatrical, and their songs meaning more to them than just words. They invented the character, the situation, the whole entire story; but instead of just getting on stage and singing the words, they put themselves in that characters shoes. That is why at points later on, you'll hear Dany screaming in spots instead of singing. That is what she imagines she would do...scream. Each song is a show in itself. In fact I worry that when they do sing about real, personal experiences later (when they've had a few) they may cause heart failure in a few of us older fans.
Alright, I waited with this till the end of the video :-) Dany sings her heart out in this one, I believe she was 19 here. I honestly don't know if there is an actual backstory. I think, it's just part of the story they made up with that whole album. Even more impressive how she gets into that made-up character... I am so looking forward to your reactions of that album which IS simply a masterpiece. EDIT: the Lunario show took place in November, more or less just before their birthdays (Alejandra in December, Daniela in January, Paulina in February), that's why I rounded up. So, at that time, Dany was 18, Pau 16 and Ale 13.

Hah, no kidding! My hands hurt just watching that... bar chords used to kill my hands, and I would avoid them whenever I could. (my hands are pretty much toast after 40 years of playing anyway) 😮
Dany wrote this song with their producer Jack Carmona. Paulina is the main song writer and came up with the basic idea for the concept album with Alejandra and Daniela providing help with filling in the story and composition. Fun fact Alejandra developed the main riff to Dust to Dust that inspired the others to come up with the lyrics.
I think they simply wanted to come up with a concept that would allow them to write some great emotional rock music. At least that's my thought. So they came up with the idea of an emotionally unstable girl who falls in love, but is unable to handle the new strong emotions and eventual rejection that occus. Resulting in her sinking deeper and deeper into madness as the album progresses. Although not the same story line per se the overwhelming nature of the emotions involved reminds me of the kind of thing that happens in a book like Wuthering Heights... Or even in Romeo and Juliet. The writing is just ambiguous enough, however, that I'm sure it's open to other interpretations as well.

I don't know what list the guy gave you but, other than Crimson Queen, The best show performance, sound-wise, bass sound (awesome) and camera shots is the Foro Didi concert and using the song links at the top of the comments. It is widely considered one of their best and Dany's voice isn't suffering from altitude as it was for the Lunario show. Give Ugh a shot from the Foro concert and you can make up your own mind.
My preference is the Foro DiDi recording as well.. far superior audio where the vocal harmonies are much more balanced and audible and representative of actually being at a The Warning LIVE performance.

Her feelings are intense, confusing, and conflicting, and are overpowering her. She would do anything for him to love her.
