Honestly I like the pink it’s not to vibrant but also not to muted it will also match my pro switch controller perfectly it’s also giving of Kirby and Princess peach for me.
It's crazy, when these released, I immediately thought, "Raesthetic might love these!" I'm so surprised they're so neon-looking! I'm not sure I'd call these pastel, the color is so sharp. Side note, but that keyboard looks absolutely amazing.
I kinda liked them! 😅 I bought them a few days ago for my small Joy-Con collection, I'm already using the original blue and red colors that came with the Switch and the neon green and neon pink set.
You can change the colors of your joycons in your computer. It’s super easy !! So of that way they are not red and gray. There’s some tutorials on TH-cam. I did it fairly easy 😊😊 I got disappointed with my pink joy cons too bc it’s not the shade I like so prob I won’t keep them
Omg! this might be my favorite comment i've ever gotten! I'm not sure why a software change being possible never occurred to me, but after i read this I went to go look it up. hopefully it'll work for me! So much less hassle than swapping the shells again hahah. Thank you so much!!! 😊
@@Raesthetics yeah, this looks like just a lighter shade of the coral switch lite “pink/coral”. I remember it also looking a bit salmon color (I sold mine sadly 😔)
They’re more of a peach/salmon pink, than pastel. I guess the only way to get a nice pink right now, is to get custom ones. Still unsure if I’ll keep or return them
I so agree with you! I received my set today. I was so happy to get them, and when I unpacked them I almost cried. Such ugly shade of pink... Not pastel at all! Such a shame 😢
its pretty but im also a pastel pink purist so. may skip them :/ i have a 3ds xl and yh nintendo knew their shit before. dunno whats going on nowadays 😭 also dont know why they wont release joycon with switch lite buttons (white). maybe they think of that configuration as lite exclusive? i want (actual) pastel joycon with white details!!! bring back old funner nintendo wtf is goijg on over there
they got some pastels right, i rhink they did great with the mint and lavender joycon duo, but i remember seeing the pink and yellow duo and wanting to cry. even the acnh, while the mint is different to the one in the lav-mint duo, i think its still a great duo. this pink is way too coral. given it was released to coincide with princess peach showtime why not name it peach pink…? people in the comments don’t seem to understand that more accurate naming would help consumers manage expectations. imagine the oled came out and the joycon were off-white 😭 after going around saying theyre white, that yellowish tone would throw you off no? its the same here
girl i so agree with you! those soft purples, blues and green were so pretty 😍 but yea at this point i've been waiting for a nice pink switch for so long it feels like they're not giving it to us on purpose 😔
honestly nintendo should have released dual pink joycons years ago!!! i'm sorry to hear that :( maybe if you don't need the extra joycons you can try to sell them?
I think a lot of it is that the naming feels inaccurate. it's less of a pastel pink and more of a bright peachy tone, you know? and I'd love a switch oled! but I can't really justify it right now, unfortunately. maybe in the future 😊
yea, it seems like it, but that's why i compared it to real pastel pinks so you can see the difference. it has too much base yellow in it and it's a bit too bright to be fully pastel pink. it's not a terrible color, it's just quite bright.
pastel doesnt have to be muted tho ? pastel just means that its a powdery color not light or muted (they are typically light which this one is but not muted) @@Raesthetics
well, if you wanna be technical about it, here is what wikipedia has to say: "A pastel is an art medium that consist of powdered pigment and a binder... the binder is of a neutral hue and *low saturation*...as an adjective it means *pale in color*." but honestly we don't really have to agree about the definition. these honestly _are_ pastel in comparison to the other omega bright joycons. I just know that for me and other people i've talked to, our expectations for _pastel pink_ were different. if nintendo didn't want to make it softer, i think calling it peach pink instead would have felt more accurate and set expectations better for someone like me, and not affected anything for someone who likes the color. don't you think?
but why should they have picked another name when the name already represents the color correctly? i mean the same thing could be said for any other color, purple and green for example could have been lavender and lime so i mean saying that is kinda a dumb argument. just cus the color doesnt fit your description doesnt mean that it isnt correct. it is a pastel pink color so the name is correct. @@Raesthetics
What are your thoughts on the new pastel pink joycons? 😊
I love them lucky for me I got the last one when I went to GameStop to pick up the game
that is lucky! congrats!! 😊
I love this shade of pink 😭
im happy someone does! i wish they would also release softer pinks like they used to, though :(
@@Raesthetics omg yes, pls 😔 I'm still hoping for a similar shade as the limited edition 3DS XL pink for the OLED
i agree, this shade it so beautiful!
Honestly I like the pink it’s not to vibrant but also not to muted it will also match my pro switch controller perfectly it’s also giving of Kirby and Princess peach for me.
i'm glad you like it! I hope one day they'll release a pink that will match my other pastel pink stuff too 😊
I mean it is based on Princess Peach and she’s…ya know peachy but they shouldn’t have called it pastel pink bc it definitely isn’t
i'd prefer a much lighter pink but i love these! they match my kirby merch
I'm glad you're happy with them 😊
I wish they could change the buttons to white and add peach’s crown label on them.
I still love the pink!
yes, i love the white buttons look! if you're brave enough you can try to change them yourself with custom ones 😊
@@Raesthetics I did…and…I made the drift even worse. Next time im getting a pro to change the buttons.
oh no, i'm sorry to hear that!! :( yea that is the unfortunate part about needing to resort to third party customization..

hahaha! yea they look great in the promo pictures, but the real color feels so different for some reason..
thank you for your comment! 😊

@@RaestheticsI hope it works !! I did it again a few days ago and the software was still working.
The one I used it’s called Joy-Con toolkit
I’m doing a black and pink setup so this more vibrant pink would be perfect for me.
omg slay! black and neon colors is such a good combo! 😊
Me encantan tus vídeos ❤
Gracias!! ☺️
I wonder if it’s similar to the coral switch lite
Good question! I didn't directly compare them, but i'm pretty sure the switch lite is a darker shade of this kind of peachy pink.

yes, exactly! I think it would be perfect if they had called them Peach Pink rather than pastel.

I bought both.
The pink is nice. No idea why you hating it.. also consider Switch OLED. OG Switch is so outsated in terms of feel/looks. 😊

@nicob1ue i think it would have set expectations a bit better, that's all. if not, then i wish they had put less yellow in it, like their old pinks
