The only real effective way to make summons a match changer is to run high potency + DoTs. If not, then it's way too dependent on if u have front line or not. No front line = u are pretty useless unless u have high base dmg. I'm glad u brought up Tempest because they have major advantages when they run those clones and boomerangs. They have massive shields and hard CC that can lock anyone down. DH have no damage mitigation. Imagine if the devs showed us love instead of consistently giving every other class cool ess. Let us transform into a Vengeance shadow like how Necro's can turn into a golem and let us wreck havoc. 3 things need to happen in BG immediately: 1) evenly distribute the classes and do away with this redundant melee ange classification. It makes no sense for 1 team to have 6 barbs and the other has no tanks. 2) calculate people at their highest reso so they are matched with players of their own caliber. 3) don't let immune-states (Undying Rage, Wraith, etc) be able to push or stop idol push. The main objective in BG is to push the idol. It makes no sense for the devs to allow a bunch of Barbs\Saders to just freely push the idol with no counter play.
I agree with class distribution and DH should have some cool essences like necro/tempest as well. they seem to be falling behind :') DH didn't get much love again with inferno 4 essences but this setup i did used a new essences here tried to make my primary attack as main build and shadows as to create confusion. So far the results are promising but i will need to test more. Definitely still having hard time vs tempest and barbs/monks etc
