Ever consider large Coaxial drivers. The partsexpress Dayton Audio PCX12-8 12" Pro Coaxial are like $50 each (+ compression driver cost), and play from 50-5500hz. Basically same specs as a PRV alto 12. [A pro woofer with High Fs near 60hz, very low xmaxx (very short voice coiling winding height of under 12mm]. Then the compression driver will cover from as low as 2500hz up to close to 20khz . Would make for a very clean install, and probably sound better than having a bunch of speakers mounted on various surfaces creating potential time alignment/imaging issues. Though maybe that isn't as much of an issue for a Public Party system like in this video. Certainly a much simpler Crossover system since three drivers would be covering the entire frequency response (you'd need actual Subwoofers with lower Fs to play from like 20-80hz.
So im building a 6th order sorta center console/under back seat/ behind back seat. Its going in 2003 f35 king ranch crew cab long bed single rear wheel. May also do massive 23 or 24 or 32" subs in the bed as 6th order blow through to the cab at front of bed and cab back window and camper topper back window removed and rubber gasket between bad and cab. I was going to 6.5" speaker to my flat bed topper lid in pods. So when i switch to bed to play its all around range of music. Im still in full build planning stages. So the full first box i build will be from fiewall under dash to rear seat or back wall.
That's a lot of tweeters. I stopped caring as much about them after taking a simple hearing test, and realizing most people can't hear above 15khz at age 40, and 12khz at Age 50. At 45 I can just hear above 13.5khz. You can switch the Tweets off when you have an Older crowd hanging around, and put that tweeter power elsewhere :)
Get best microphone for picking up lows and highs. Id love to play on my system what others are playing. I dont know what the best microphones are but i really want to feel others systems. Mine goes down to 20hz so itll play it. Plus i play TH-cam driving on 11.6" android display headunit. What headunits will play below 20hz? Thats as far as mine will go.
