Tbh, the only reason I used Zuko instead of Sokka was because this was for a school assignment and my teacher only gave me Zuko, Katara, Aang, and Azula’s model sheets. I didn’t know if I was allowed to use any other characters (apparently I was), but oh well, I’m glad people enjoy it. And you’re right! “Hi, Zuko here,” is the epitome of awkwardness 🤪

Wait, are Zuko and Aang roommates in this au?? That's adorable,, I wish we got to see more of Zuko as part of the Gaang in the show. But anyways, this is so so well done, really looks like a proper animatic/storyboard, wish you got more attention!! All three fit surprisingly well here, I love nerd Aang and salty/awkward Zuko and emotional but pure Katara ^^

Haha! It’s funny you mention that. When I first got this assignment I wanted Penny to be Ty Lee, Sheldon to be Zuko, and Sokka to be Leonard. However, my teacher only gave me a few characters’ model sheets and Sokka and Ty Lee weren’t in those sheets, so I wasn’t sure if I could use them. It turned out in the end that I could have use anyone from the show I wanted, but at that point I was already so far along in the assignment and had so little time left I just had to go with what I had.
Y'know, at first I'm like " this is stupid, zuko and aang do not fit the personalities they were given". But as the video went on I realized something. This totally fits. The emitiré video, zuko is destroying aang's every attempt to spit some game without even realizing it. Zuko is the ultimate anti-wingman.
The best part is the "Most people think I'm a water sign" joke. It's one of the few jokes that translates PERFECTLY when Penny is replaced with Katara.
Zuko being Sheldon, a character who is socially awkward and bad with interactions but doesn't know he is bad at interactions, honestly seems pretty canon to me

I think Zuko fits perfectly as Sheldon! They're both so awkward! And I think Sokka would be perfect for Howard because they both think they're ladies men, but are actually just dorks haha! Also I love your style! Keep it up, you can only get better!
Yes-and I think it would fit anyways.. they're always making fun of Howard for being stupid because he's an engineer instead of a scientist. While the Gaang doesn't really make fun of Sokka for being a non-bender.. he's the only one in the group who isn't a bender for a good long while, so he stands out lol
