this is how the fight felt story wise not how it played out gamplay wise
Gameplay was lack luster😢
X5 was supposed to be the last X game, leading into Zero 1, but Capcom screwed things up by making X6, forcing Inafune to rewrite his original script. And then they release X7 about 2 months after Z2 came out. Axl doesn't get brought up after the X series because he wasn't supposed to exist in the first place, and it'd be a pain to try and insert him in the middle of the Zero series plot. There is Biometal A in ZX Advent that looks like Axl and has the same A-Trans/Copy power as him, but it's explicitly stated that the A stands for "Albert", the person who created the Biometal, and no there's no explicit lore connecting it to Axl.
TLDR Axl Erasure is a victim of Capcom trying to milk the X series and messing up Inafune's plans for the Zero series. And then continuing to ignore him in ZX despite making a Biometal obviously based on him.
Yeah they done did Axl dirty, I thought he was cool but kinda annoying but that's just his character and makes him unique among the rest
Love how X and Zero basically jumped Omega JJK style would have been freaking awesome if they had done this in the game.
We can only hope CAPCOM makes an effort for Mega Man🙏

The reason why axel is not in megaman zero 3 is because he die in the elf wars in megaman x8 axel was damage because of lumine attack making him loss conciosnes but x and zero fail notice sometim fall on axel's demage sphare helmet making him go maverick because of the virus of his helmet and because of it the virus inside of axel starting to get an affect on him that how i conclude myself to this teory of time line but since capcom didn't make another game of continue the history megaman x8 to x9 so the existence of axel is still mistery to everybody

Honestly he should have kept the pacing and the animation from the first vid he did of this. The fights in the remade feel rushed, when X first shows up the bullets travel faster as if hes trying to rush through the scene, same with how x and zero fire the charge shot together and they're supposed to combine but they dont in the remake. The original vid is a 10/10 but this remake is a 6/10 at best
