Excellent review. You should consider cutting together a video for each individual charger and upload them to amazon reviews (and pop in a link to your full review videos on youtube). Should help you educate more buyers, while also attracting more traffic to your youtube channel. Keep 'em coming! Cheers!

If I were to ever support a youtube channel it would be yours! You actually put the work in where it matters.
Most reviewers would rather spend their time making their videos pretty and speaking in a nice voice rather than actually doing the tests and comparing things!!
    Well done! :-)

Amazingly through analysis. I have a 12 day mountain backpacking trip this summer and have been agonizing over power solutions for my phone and GoPro. This helped tremendously. A ruggedized power bank and ChoeTech look like the best solution. I tried to buy through your store. Thanks for you work and for sharing.

This is so thorough. Super impressive review. I look forward to seeing solar panels increase in efficiency and power output in the future.
One thing I'd like to note however, is that the RAVPower charger is not available in the UK. However, something called the VINSIC charger is. It seems to have almost the same design as the RAVPower, but with an extra panel, and is rated for 22W. Is it the same company building these?

Eeeeexxxceeeeeeeleeennttt review. This is the type of real honest advised I was looking, searching, hunting for it. I do know now for sure the correct solar usb charge to buy. I was unsure between the Anker and the Ravpower but with you CLEAR statement about the Choteck now I will get first the Ravpower then second the Choteck knowing they are similar in power (not as advertised) and that information level the game for all. Thanks, thanks, thank you so much for your time and effort to make these test. Liked, Subscribed and bell notified.

Good that you made an annotation at the start of the video that the conclusion can be found at 19:00, otherwise you had lost me as a viewer. Although I really appreciate your effort and explaining everything exhaustively. I must admit that I do prefer the shorter video's of some other electronics bloggers. This is only my personal preference, not a negative comment on the content you produce. Maybe in the future you can consider making this a three part setup: the in depth reviews in part one and two and a separate third "jump to the conclusion" part for the people with less time on their hands. In that case, I would watch more videos you make: always the "conclusion" ones, an then occasionally an in-depth one if I wanted more info or clarification. Anyhow, keep up the good work! Goed werk!

Thanks for the thorough review of the different panels. I got the Ravpower last year summer 2018, it ran fine, I measure Volt and Amp using a USB tester, it does output good amp under a good sunny day.
However lately I found some issue with the built-in voltage converter, I am hearing a clicking noise, initially from one of the port, now both of them have clicking noise. I put a scope on V+ with no-load, I see 5V allright, however as I put my UBS battery pack on one of the port, the amp is very low compare to another panel I have a exact position. I really suspect the dc converter probably gone. It is no very expensive those dc converter, however what suck is to open everything and resolder new one.
I gave a very good review on Amazon after several months usage, I may have to re-edit my review for the Ravpower, I do think like you that some manufacturers exaggerate too much the actual power the panels deliver.
In the same token, USB battery packs also suffer the same fate, I just got a 20000mAh battery that only can hold 5000mAh!!

Great review! Would you consider doing an updated review considering that many of the solar panel vendors like SunKingdom and RavPower are now using the supposedly superior Sunpower panels? Also I think many would be interested in the new solar panel product reviews like the SolarTab and the Solar Paper from Yolk.

Different result with RAVPower result. While charging my DIY battery pack, the panel produced 5.35V at 1.9 - 2.2A from one of the port. I've been using this panel about 2 years now which hasn't failed me below 10W from just one port. Perhaps, the company upgraded the system after watching your video :) Still very interesting and helpful! Thank you for the video

Excellent review. Very helpful and a needed reality check. My own testing of Sunkingdom's 6.5 watt panel has only seen just under 5w at peak. Not close to the marketed 6.5W. The good news on the Subkingdom panel is it has been charging my cell phone, but I charge the phone not from the panel, but as you recommend, charging a separate battery pack. Keep up your really great work as it helps.

Very nice test Martin. I am seriously liking solar stuff except that I am living in the wrong country which is Belgium where rain panels would be a fantastic idea. Been playing with 40 and 10 Watt panels that have an approx 17 Volt as ideal output voltage.
I wonder what type of electronics these things you tested have since they must have some kind of circuitry to limit the output to like 5 Volt and to keep MPPT of the panel in mind.

I'm curious to here about your opinion on longevity between the Ravpower vs Choetech. With real world use and the Ravpower after time getting loads of those bubbles(that I also would think would hinder productivity). Which would you think would stand the test of time better? Also which would you think would hold up better to stress? Great video, I appreciate the time you took to inform on these products. ps What about the Poweradd 40w?

Is Sun Kingdom also selling as King Solar? Interesting about the Anker, like you say their other stuff is usually good! I've got an Anker PowerCore 20100 (20000mAh) power bank. Do you think I can leave this plugged in charging if I hang one of these in a window? Do you need to worry about overcharging or do they all trickle charge once full?

Best review I've seen! I ordered thru your amazon store. I would like to see two rows added to your spread sheet for total weight and weight per watt. I figured it out on my own with your data. I'd pay more money for lighter weight that performs best wattage output. I would like to see a review of the PowerAdd monocrystalline panels 40watt and 60watt(4.3 lbs) I would also like to see a review of the thin film PowerFilm 30w(1.8lbs) and 60w(3lbs). I'm interested in ideal sun light conditions and lower sun light condition. I think the PowerFilm 30w will win out for me. Two of them can be daisy chained into 60w. Often sun light conditions are lower sun light so this may push me towards a 30 or 60 watt panel if the weight is not too much. Again you have done a great job. For back packing 2lbs is my upper limit. Would not want to go to 3lb but if that is where I have to go for low light conditions I may be open to it.

    I have a question:
If I chained (2) RavPower solar panels together. into 1 output (by taking a (Y) USB cable) and plugging it into the output USB ports of the RavPower,
and then plugged my power pack to it, will I get better benefits in quicker charge ups for my device?
Im thinking of buying 2 of the RavPower.
