This is the most organized and Impressive Bus Terminal I have seen so far in Beautiful Jamaica. Are there others like this . There are never enough buses even in Toronto sometimes.
That bus station has been there since 2006.
I can tell you haven’t visited your homeland in many years.😂 Or perhaps not Kingston.
Jamaicans might move to developed countries such as the the USA, UK and Canada for a “better life”. BUT those countries are boring with zero vibes. Jamaica may not be wealthy; but what it lacks in wealth it makes up for with friendly people and vibrant atmosphere. Jamaica is blessed with natural beauty and the people have a “ joie de vivre”.

If she doesn’t know what he’s babbling on about, how will she understand it? Jamaicans need to get it in their heads that they’re the only ones who understand Jamaican ‘patois’. It would be more respectful to the person that you’re with if you make an effort for them to know what you’re saying to them. After all, English is the official language of Jamaica and if you go to school that is what you’re taught in. It’s confusing for someone to know what is being said to them, when it would be easier to just speak the language that you both know and understand. That would make more sense.
We've similar accent with the creole pronounce as krio in Sierra Leone. We understand patois (patwa) more than any other African country I stand to be corrected 😂😂 . But seriously we understand patois more

@@judithhuggins6975 I know that Half Way Tree called the capital of St Andrew but it is still Kingston to me. Down Town Kingston is Kingston so let us not split hairs.
Go with a kingstonian and watch there alertness and mannerisms. We usually walk purposefully and when I was going school we never wore walets downtown or kept phones in our pockets or hands but much has calmed since zekes was locked up around 2009. But I'd advise watching body language when traveling first with someone. Most middle Cass and upper class wouldn't go downtown at all but shopped at tropical plaza or sovereign or places in half way tree. 😂😂

What youtubers must understand is that some people might be running away from abusers and don't want to be found. One just cannot go stick a camera in somebody's face without their permission. There is a right to privacy.

I think they refuse to say prices on camera because they tell people prices just by looking at them and assuming what they can afford to pay so being caught on camera giving a price means they can't change it

It’s amazing to see that the young people do not Know what a Chichee bus 🚎 really is. Original chichee bus was called Grey Hound Bus which had Air breakers and the sound the breaks made when stopping iwas the reason they were call chichiee bus.

The reason we call them chi chi bus is because back in the day the doors on the public buses would make the sound "chi chi" when they opened and closed.
If you listen to "Jolly Joseph" by Jacob Miller, you will hear the "chi chi" sound when the bus door closes or opens. Hence the name.

The current ‘chi chi’ busses are seemingly so called because the original buses in the 50’s had air brakes and on braking the air brakes made the ‘chi chi’ sound. Didn’t know the name was still used.
No those busses were name chi chi as a way of down playing the work PJ was doing. The busses were brand new and wasn't making any strange noise. Then as usual Jamaicans only want to hear someone call you a name and it stuck to you for life. We shouldn't use the term to visitors though without explaining to them the meaning of the term (chi-chi)because they may just innocently go and use it to the wrong person.
