Very well presented, thank you. I'm going to purchase the pro version thanks to your review. Angie, from one talkshow professional to another, you are one of the best presenters I've seen on TH-cam.
Then OnePlus 7 is your best choice. It is more expensive, but the cheapest I could think of that's up to your preferences and closest (no, even slightly better) overall to Mi 9T Pro.
Mi 9T Pro, you get the global version with that, and trust me you don't want the Chinese version. This phone could hold up to 2 years I believe with the overall feature and quality, compared to Poco F1. Miles better display, slightly more powerful SoC but more efficient, premium build quality, and much better cameras.
Just one thing I would like to say, the snapdragon 730 is more powerful than 835, so the 730 is really a 840 to be more practical and precise, so is not a weak procesor at all, I bought it, actually i have both, pro and regular, and you just see the difference when you are like gaming or some little difference in speed opening a web or scrolling but just por miliseconds, everything else are very similar, I have a poco and they are like twins in many process, if the difference in price are like 50 dollars it would be a good change but more than that i would prefer 730 version overall.
In terms of CPU, yes. But what about the GPU? So far no mid-range chipsets have the same GPU power as SD 835 and above. The gap level between mid-range and high-end is HUGE. Last year I thought SD 636 was more than enough to endure most games at med settings, but now it starts falling down. Where SD 835 still perform solid to this date. From there I learned it's more worth it to have high-end chipset for long-term usage, rather than top mid-range chipset which can only last about 1 year or 2 at max. But this is only the case if you're like me, who likes doing intensive graphical performance. If not, then 730 is a no brainier choice.
@@svd355 Not necessarily, if course it depends of the screen, bad habits like charging the phone while are you playing, leave the screen to much time with a high bright, the brand, the materials, there is a lot of things that you have to consider, for example I use to play two hours hard games with a Moto z play 2, no problems there, and playing in a Samsung s8 the screen turns pink and that's was not a problem was the poor battery, so what's the point?, To have a good balance, and I'm talking that this brand and phone got it, you can play pugb and fortnite perfect, I use to have also thr redmi note 5 and i played back then heavy games without any problems, still working all the phones, so I can assure you that is rare that a phone just for GPU has a better or long life use, it depends of more than a simple characteristic, besides I can assure also that some games yes, you can use a 855 plus and play just right now fluidly, and maybe you can think that you can play new ones for years and, you just can't, because new games will be heavier. so is not a great deal.
@@fulangator Recent games required higher system requirements eventually. If you asked me, SD 855 can last much longer compared to any other mid-range SoC. Sure there are many more aspects to be considered for a long-term usage, but specifically for the Mi 9T case, I think it's more worth it to choose the Pro version over the normal one. It has exactly the same material and build quality, plus an SoC that can last more.
@@svd355 Oh yeah i`m agree, but i`m just saying that is not a bad processor, if you have the oportunity to buy the pro version of course it`s a better option, but some people just want a good procesor to play not to often, and no paying for something that they don`t want to or need to use, of course is not the best, but this one is a good choice for that people who are not heavy players, or change the phone every year or two.
@@fulangator exactly. Some heavy users like me would find the Pro version a definite choice. But the casual one will be pleased with the 730, and save some extra cash for the screen protector and a premium case, or better on other important needs. SD 730 is by far not a bad SoC, instead it is the top mid-range SoC on the market right now. In terms of power processing you won't notice the difference between the 855 in light day-to-day use on apps.
My last few phones have been off contract and Samsung flagships, s6, s7 and the s8+, I was spending £700+ on the phones. I was due a new phone but really didn't want to spend almost 1000 pounds on a phone so purchased the 8gb/256gb version of the k20 pro, and well its impressed me a lot, I know it's not got some of the flagship perks but it competes really well, and there's nothin else for its price to spec ratio in its range
You would pay less obviously. The comparison are a bit off, what about Mi 9T vs Redmi Note 8 Pro? Same tier SoC class and price. If you could pass: - AMOLED Display - No notch display - Custom ROM Then I would recommend the Redmi Note 8 Pro since you'll be gaining more with the bigger battery, better camera, and slightly better SoC (for the non-pro version).
What's up with "phone reviewers" not reviewing the microphone? I bought a Pixel 2 because every reviewer praised it but when you try calling people, it sounds like a fan blowing into the microphone. Had to buy one of those Bluetooth ear piece to make phone calls.
pro has faster charging, super amoled vs amoled, longer battery life, faster processor which gives better photo processing. Been looking at these for several weeks. initially wanted the Mi 9T but swapped to the pro due to the battery life and better photos. Just need the right price...
wrong. Screens are the same on both. Processors differ but photo difference is marginal. Pro has 64fps in 4k and a bit better lens but both are the same phones except you better go with pro if you game, otherwise there is no difference.
@@minde28383 Allow me to clarify. I'm looking at the Mi 9T vs the Mi 9T Pro (the K20 is not sold in my country), where one has amoled, the other super amoled. I'm happy with my research and if you'd like to disagree then that's fine - we all have our own conclusions.
@@Yet_Another_Steve no no Steve. Check other sources. Both super amoleds. And faster processor does not gives better photo processing, it might bet I doubt it is becaus faster cpu. Photos just slightly better because sensor in pro version very slightly better. In real life it makes no difference. It is the same photos. If you feel difference it's because you want to feel difference but reality is that it's the same phone. The only difference you can feel is in heavy games, you get more fps and less stuttering, but I'm not a gamer.

I am interested greatly in this phone. I don't do much gaming really and was wondering whether I really needed to go for the Pro version or just stick with the Mi9t ??
If topping up budget at around $100 more and planned to use the phone for a long period of time is not your concern, go for the pro version since you'll get nothing to loose but gain. Additional things you may interest in with the Pro version: 1. Better camera sensor (Sony IMX 582 vs 586) means better camera quality, and the ability to record at 4K 60 fps 2. Faster charging capability at 27W max vs 18W 3. And most importantly, the Snapdragon 855 I know you're not into gaming or heavy usage, but having a top tier SoC means more futureprof. Apps and OS getting higher minimum system requirements overtime, and SD 855 ready for that.
That's not microSD slot, this phone doesn't support expandable storage. And for that price you can get last year's flagships with better... almost everything.
You might get better cameras from last year's model phones but the new features such as screen fingerprint readers are still relatively new, so I'd this is still a a pretty good bargain.
@@powerfultoa7 But I don't see what's wrong with old fingerprint readers on the back. This is a gimmick to make new phones feel more advanced. You also get better display (though probably with a notch), better speaker, 3,5mm jack quality depending on the phone, expandable storage, aforementioned cameras in the front and the back, probably less trashy Android skin (if any) and I guess some other stuff that doesn't come to mind right now. The only better thing is processor. And there's almost no difference in day to day usage between top tier Snapdragons in past 3 generations.
@@heretic124 Hehe well I'm the kind of guy who absolutely won't accept a phone with a notch, I just thought that for the quality of this screen this is still really good value that with a couple of software tweaks such as installing GCam can make this worthwhile
ive held my s7 for long time now, still does 4hrs or on screen time, looking at this phone makes me wanna really upgrade. the oled screen and the 855 chipset are the selling point. im wondering is the 4000mah battery good enuff for it ?
both are cheap crap. I'll get 9t with 730cpu. Pro version has slightly better lens, slightly better photos but normal people won't see difference. You need pro version with 855cpu for high demanding games, for future games. Otherwise you can't tell difference in everyday usage, because there is no visible, noticeable, feelable difference. Unless one or another model would get software update sooner or later than another one. No matter which you choose you will get old tech. In a year you will have old device in a pocket no matter what.
Depend from what you need,mi9 has smaller battery, greater display, greater phone but lacks audio jack but more lighter and mi9t pro advantages in what mi9 lack of,i'm mi9 user,i think i will keep my mi9
All games runs in high settings with this beast and it doesn't even overheats! The only prob that I have till now is that I didn't have found a global gcam to use... Needs a lot of updates to be perfect though...

Review went smooth, helps a lot. Thanks GSMArena.
Drink when she says "plenty"
Can i ask question? What is the brand or the name of your headphone?
1:16 I think she meant sim, not sd card.
I'm watching this videos on my K20 Pro😂
You are the best ...very good voice ... the way of talking is excellent ... That's like aa good host... Keep it up ... God bless you ...😊
Can you kindly do a camera test with the gcam apk?
Thanks for the recommendation. What do you think about the note 8 pro would you pay less and get the note 8pro instead of the t9 pro ?
I think it's more of if you want the n8 pro for it 64mp with lesser processor speed over the mi mt pro with it's higher processor
You would pay less obviously. The comparison are a bit off, what about Mi 9T vs Redmi Note 8 Pro? Same tier SoC class and price.
If you could pass:
- AMOLED Display
- No notch display
- Custom ROM
Then I would recommend the Redmi Note 8 Pro since you'll be gaining more with the bigger battery, better camera, and slightly better SoC (for the non-pro version).
Best phone ever
What's up with "phone reviewers" not reviewing the microphone? I bought a Pixel 2 because every reviewer praised it but when you try calling people, it sounds like a fan blowing into the microphone. Had to buy one of those Bluetooth ear piece to make phone calls.
7:52 Great screensaver!
Camera wise, this or Mi 9 is better?
pro has faster charging, super amoled vs amoled, longer battery life, faster processor which gives better photo processing.
It's the same phone, the k20/k20 pro is the Chinese version and mi 9t/mi 9t pro is the global version.
@@iamthepotato4312 k20 & k20 pro isn't Chinese only version, we have that in india
Watching on a Mi 9T. This phone is amazing.
So smooth review
I bought Mi9 ...its for 298€...and mi9T pro is for 320€..do u think its good mi9 for this price over mi9T PRO? or sell Mi9 and buy 9TPRO? or its the same ? if i like notch...i dont care about battery..and popup camera?
Your voice is beautiful.
Looking for an oled curved screen mid-range phone. So far my research narrowed to Vivo IQOO Neo 855, Vivo Z5, and this. Which one is to get?
1:15 *sim card slot
Who is the winner nova 5t or mi 9t pro? Overall and camera? Maybe next week i will buy new phone my old android almosy 4years is now giving up thanks 😊
go for mi 9t pro...
Micro sd slot? But that's a secondary sim slot
She says at the end that there is no Micro SD slot
Mi 9T/9T Pro (and the Chinese/Indian siblings Redmi K20/K20 Pro) doesn't have microSD and wireless charging
@@Smitecrawler she did. Though the beginning she said there was an sd slot. Quite poor observation from them though
Watching this with my redmi note 7. I'm still loving it with every usage... Xiaomi is my favorite brand now...
this is cheap model. They have expensive models. Cheap in a way that it is crap, that is why it is cheap.
@@minde28383 i think note 7 quite decent phone buddy, maybe the camera quite bad in lowlight but it can solved by installing gcam which is just plug n play,i used the best selling note 4 before and use mi 8,to me both are great in their own ways, beside redmi and mi are sub brand under xiaomi
@@Life_Is_Adventuree It is good, I agree. I just lost of so many options to choose from even I know specsANDdifferences of most recent Xiaomi phones. All models have flaws and I need to choose one for my self anyway. I can't justify paying a lot but want get something which I would want to keep at least for few years. Don't play games therefore no need for top notch but on other hand I aim for fast user interfaces. For me good phone is phone with fast user interface, good screen and good camera, rest is of a less importance for me. I think I'll get mi 9t, not pro. User interface response times seams the same as 9t pro. Also wander about regular mi 9 but not fond about tear drop after i saw screens without it :) Battery of trgular mi 9 is 3300mah and screen on times are ok for my understanding so it has good enough battery.
@@minde28383 okay, from what i understand you are medium user who wants smoothness in ui,apps and all that,Mi9T would be nice, miui is not that heavy skin,But i would consider stock or android one phone like Mi A3 quite good too just lack on 720p amoled display,i also had a friend like you sir, last year he asked me what phone suitable with him,i recommend him Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 which is in stock android, fast updates, has 6gb ram,128gb storage,5000mah battery, dual sim slot and sd card simultaneosly, great 16mp camera and of course can install gcam with ease,it is so smooth, till now he happy with it and receive 10 updates since the purchase,i'm just telling my stories, nothing more, btw Mi9T is a good choice too..
@@minde28383 i think you should consider mi 9 lite too buddy,it has great set of camera,4030mah of battery, has expandable storage, audio jack, great display and lovely design to think of..

Another great review Angie!
Yup she is cute😄
The phone also😗
she is damn cute man i think im in love
I am interested greatly in this phone. I don't do much gaming really and was wondering whether I really needed to go for the Pro version or just stick with the Mi9t ??
If topping up budget at around $100 more and planned to use the phone for a long period of time is not your concern, go for the pro version since you'll get nothing to loose but gain. Additional things you may interest in with the Pro version:
1. Better camera sensor (Sony IMX 582 vs 586) means better camera quality, and the ability to record at 4K 60 fps
2. Faster charging capability at 27W max vs 18W
3. And most importantly, the Snapdragon 855
I know you're not into gaming or heavy usage, but having a top tier SoC means more futureprof. Apps and OS getting higher minimum system requirements overtime, and SD 855 ready for that.
looks at my mi 9... wait you have a headphone jack
I have the mi9t 128gb, has decent performance, battery is awesome.
64GB are enough if you back up all your photos with Google Photos and stream music and video.
Where can we buy it?
She cute tho 😍
I have K20 Pro 8gb/128 Flame Red, and i love it!
That's not microSD slot, this phone doesn't support expandable storage. And for that price you can get last year's flagships with better... almost everything.
All the countries don't get the old devices at a lesser price
Yeah,that is a great alternatives
ive held my s7 for long time now, still does 4hrs or on screen time, looking at this phone makes me wanna really upgrade. the oled screen and the 855 chipset are the selling point. im wondering is the 4000mah battery good enuff for it ?
iPhone 11 pro is a 2019 flagship with a notch (and 64 Go of ram) 😂
How it compares with the Lenovo Z6 pro?
I'm not sure which one to buy.

I just got my k20 pro yesterday and it's amaaazing!

@@ervinhernandez6179 nope, PH. Ordered it from HK.
Which is better this or redmi note 9 pro?
What should I buy, Mi 9t 128 GB or Mi 9t Pro 64 GB? I only have those two options
Mi9T Pro has Snapdragon 855 and better sensor cameras.
MI 9T Pro or Mi 9?Wich is better?
both are cheap crap.
Do you guys think that its battery will wear down after a while?
How is the selfie quality?
All games runs in high settings with this beast and it doesn't even overheats! The only prob that I have till now is that I didn't have found a global gcam to use...
Needs a lot of updates to be perfect though...
