Incest is what gives babies (this includes almost all animals) a shorter life span and lower quality of life, alongside chance of mutations that could further lower life span and quality of life such as (in humans) Down Syndrome. Down syndrome patients only live on average until 60. Whereas the rest of the human population lives until approx. 70-80. It also lowers quality of life for the affected person. Another example is pugs. Pugs were bred to have a shorter snout, and this was often achieved through incest. This has decreased the quality of life for these poor dogs due to breathing problems. I'm worried for the health of incest babies, especially in pets, because people see it as a minor problem in animals, while it's extremely illegal and immoral for humans. I hope that in future you stop incest attempts and remove the birds from eachother if it happens again. Please let the health of the babies take priority. Don't let animals engage in incest. It's so wrong on so many levels, but many don't see it that way.
I had 2 finches when i was just 6 ..... as i was younger I couldn't take care of the babies that hatched 😞 so many of 'em died but i was successful in raising two babies so there were 4 .....they are the rabbits of bird world so i guess around 60x of 'em got killed by me 😭😭
