@@Enthai21 Old theme worked better for the legend killer gimmick. Voices works better for the apex predator gimmick. It sounds more calm and calculated.
Damn, it's so cute at 25:48, when in Kurt Angle's final match, amidst the excited chants of "You suck," a fan is holding a sign saying, "You never sucked." Shed a single tear..
I just love when the crowd sings along to great entrance themes because it then turns into a big huge concert. Also shows that all it takes is your theme song to get you super over
As a fellow European i cant exactly agree here. The best is that they maybe "reintoduced" it in 08 after it losing steam? But what we actually bring to the plate is alot more continuous singing outside of theme songs, alittle bit of football
It's also got a lot to do with AEW fans, they started singing along to Chris Jericho's theme & then it caught on with a bunch of other wrestlers themes
There's nothing like a Pro Wrestling show. you get a concert, stage play, fighting and a soap opera all rolled into one to make for the best form of entertainment this side of video games.
I’ve been to a few different live shows, including the Royal Rumble 2023, and I can tell you it so much fun singing along to different wrestlers themes.
These are the best moments of any wrestlers life... Audience singing your theme it means you achieved what your wrestling journey says entertaining people ❤
The conclusions are simple: 1. Fire def rebel 2. License more popular songs 3. Do more shows in Europe so you can hear what good chants and singalongs are like
Puerto Rico had 50 % more people in the arena a year before they sounded louder because it's a smaller stadium with less people that are working together
I love that if you listen closely when he shows the elimination chamber kickoff clip with the fans singing Cody's theme you can clearly hear some of them singing "Something something Cody Rhodes"
1 of my favorites is cena on nxt & cenas iconic mitb return from a few years ago. The crowd went nuts singing his song & he said I never heard people singing my song before. It’s crazy how just recent people started showing cena the love he deserves lol. His theme is a banger & should be sung along to EVERYTIME he comes out
After that post-Wrestlemania Raw in 2013, EVERYONE on the Long Island Railroad train ride back home was singing Fandango's theme for almost an hour lol. I will NEVER forget that night.
Crowd engagement is key to a great iconic song (see We Will Rock You by Queen). It is also the key for WWE superstars to make it in the business. Connect properly and you’re immortalized
Voices, Metalingus, Cult Of Personality, Written In My Face and Kingdom are probably my top 5 favourite themes. Honorable mention to all Motorhead themes (the game, king of kings, line in the sand), Whatever, Stone Cold and the Rick's themes, John Cena's theme, and ofc, the Undertaker.
i'm not sure but i think, the fans also used to chant "feed me more" during Ryback's theme song in the beginning of his theme song. the chants werenot that loud though. sorry for the grammatical error, 2nd language.
Fandango's music was played at Goodison Park, Home of Everton FC when Johnny Curtis said he was a fan of the club. Arsenal's Matchday MC is a massive Wrestling fan, and plays random Wrestling themes as players come out for the 2nd half of games as well
I still say my favorite entrance of Cena's was at Money in the Bank in England. Cena was actually shocked that there was a lot less "John Cena Sucks" and infinitely more "Your time is up, my time is now, now, you can't see me, my time is now, now" than usual. Then again that was when Cody got the full singalong for "Kingdom", too. Also one of the very rare times Cody won with ONE Cross Rhodes.
Is it me, or does it seem like the European crowds were the ones who started the trend of chanting or singing along with wrestlers' themes? It really adds a lot to the atmosphere at a WWE card.
I’ve actually seen Chris and his band live and it was a dream come true. I’ve loved Chris since I was kid watching him wrestle and he’s such a cool guy
I can't imagine the feeling this gives to walk out to a crowd singing your theme, but it must be so much more surreal for Chris Jericho with it being his actual song. Stuff like that is a bands mark of making it when you get a crowd performing with you.
Think about it, there wasn’t too many themes from back in the day you could go along with. The biggest was Hogan’s “Real American”, but never saw too many sing to that. Now the first I recall that people got behind was Kurt Angle and the “You Suck” chants. But since then, not too much until the last 4-5 years and now there is a good amount and I love it. Cody, Seth are great to get behind.
Randy is getting bigger and better every single day...I hope they're planning something for him. Its high time to give him a larger than life match like with Rock or Goldberg
I was at WM19 and Raw the night after. They were doing “The Rick appreciation night. We all knew that Goldberg was going to debut. It was funny the crowd was chanting “Goldberg” and the rock trying to hide it was referencing his accountant Ira Goldberg. Too funny!
it has always perplexed me that no one sang punks theme before. I knew it word for word before he was even a thing. It' is, and has always been, a banger.
There's no lyrics to sing, but I'd say Undertaker's and Stone Cold's themes are on top, for the fact that you dont even need to play the first note of the song itself to get a reaction, just the sound effect before it plays. You never see any crowd go crazier than when they hear the shattering of glass, or the toll of a bell
This was just a nice feel good video to watch and sing along with. Kind of strange that it took so long for fans to regularly start singing along with music though. Better late than never I suppose.
Randy almost broke character when he heard them singing. seriously thought I saw some tears coming
At backlash he probably cried when he got back to gorilla
He definitely cried when he got back to gorilla
He broke character in Berlin :'D
And I've been singing along for this song since it was introduced.
Before the singing he says he didn't like the song. I wonder if he does now
@@spykeex69 This was so long ago. He once said it means a lot to him when the fans sing along with his theme song.
This video just proves that a theme song helps in getting someone over.
that’s the problem with def rebel. it’s like they wanted to bury their talent
Joe Hendry!
Imagine how many "failed" wrestlers would've gotten over if it wasn't for Def Rebel.
Which is weird because I liked Randy's old theme more than the Voices one

its easy when he come back in babyface change " you sucks " to a " you rocks " chants but fan dosnt thinking that in the moment i guess
25:46 singing “you suck” in appreciation for your favorite wrestler with tears in your eyes is peak wrestling 😂
A little bit of a crime that we took 16 years to sing Randy Orton's theme.
Old Man Orton is my favorite Orton.
I mean he was a major heel for a majority of it so I’d say it’s understandable lol.
Ive benn singing it for 10 years

Its the Brits & European fans that started singing theme songs after Mania 28, in Merican they still chant "What"!
'merica would do the whole Roaddogg entrance over 25 years ago, and also do plenty of entrance sing a longs... but yes the what thing needs to go.

i'm glad that Shinsuke Nakamora was included, i still remember his smackdown debut everyone "singing" along to a violin was pretty impressive.

The Jey entrance in Lyon was peak communion with the crowd
They set the bar and the standard for Jey's entrance, so now every audience is trying to keep it up.
There's nothing like a Pro Wrestling show. you get a concert, stage play, fighting and a soap opera all rolled into one to make for the best form of entertainment this side of video games.
Randy’s theme is fantastic
Been saying that for years
I remember singing it it constantly while playing SVR 2011 even though he was the shaved headed villain around that time 😅

The crowd singing Triple H's theme at 'Clash At The Castle Scotland Kickoff 2024' was also crazy. The only time I've ever heard it.
