She has given so much physical, mental, and emotional energy to this sport, and I think she was sort of just burned out here and at the Olympics from both that and all the pressure on her, which is completely understandable. She still has 4 Olympic gold medals and is still the absolute GOAT of gymnastics and athletics.
That’s what I was about to say, now that I can be looking retrospective, I can see how her tumbling passes were a little bit out of control, still managing to be super amazing, yet you can tell that there was something off.
An error from Tim at the beginning, Simone won bronze in Rio, and Laurie got silver. Not that it matters, just wanted to point it out. Also, re-watching this months after the Olympics, her tumbling did look quite off. More unpredictable, especially on the second pass, since I have rarely seen her step out of bounds and lose control on that pass. Something was off, and it carried on into Tokyo.
i mean she stepped out on worlds in 2019, and here and 2021 nationals i think her in 2013-2016 was when she was at her most confident i despise Larry Nasser for taking her joy away

It was choreographed by Sasha Farber, a professional dancer and Simone’s partner on DWTS. The choreo was probably made to let her rest for all those difficult passes, but yeah I have to agree with you. She had so much energy and passion on her Rio floor routine and you can tell something was just lacking

Her acrobatics is amazing , however i always find her feet are sickled ( turned in) . Its just one thing seems to always distract me in her performances.
