Kayaking Cayuta Lake ► Incredible Bird Footage *intense* blue heron minimal talking

- The Mister and I went back to Cayuta Lake to do some kayaking on a calm day. In the inlet we saw an incredible blue heron that let us get somewhat close. We didn't make fast movements. It was awesome. If you like this style of vlog be sure to subscribe for more!

Ugh, I've been paying attention to the weather news and all I can say is stay safe and as cool as possible. Fall is on the way! Hopefully in the next couple weeks you'll break the triple digits for good for the season. I couldn't believe that heron hung out as long as it did. So amazing! Love and love back! 🩵🫶🏼🥰💙🧜🏼♀️
Oh, that was wonderful 😃 & I'm also drinking my coffee, watching the leaves drifting down up here as well. Thank you for the lovely, peaceful video! It looks much better today without the wind. Do you remember the Taunton River in MA? It's a little out of your area, but it was near to us. It flows as far as the New Bedford/Dartmouth beaches area. One day up near me (far, far from New Bedford, lol) the boys & I went canoeing down & up the Taunton. It is known for being VERY deep, black & a bit quick in some areas. We put in at our usual place near the prison in Bridgewater. It is deep in the woods there & a mellow paddle for me & 'the little beans.' During one paddle a great blue heron found us & literally followed us for at least a 1/2 mile on the river. It would sit in the water ahead of us until we got near-ish. Then with a swoop it would fly up & circle behind us for a bit. Then it would fly RIGHT OVER OUR HEADS & land again in the river ahead. It was a little game. 😂The beans were THRILLED. It's wing-span was so wide it could have picked up a small bean & flew off with him (not that they're dangerous, just capable at that size!). Anyway, it was a very memorable day for us. Thanks for the video & the memories! 💗

I've heard of that river. And wowza what an amazing experience for you and the beans! I'm thinking the Mister and I should probably pack the kayak next time we visit Mass and check out that spot. How fun and wildlife always draws me in. I didn't spend much time in that area of Mass and don't know it as well so any recs are welcome. Thanks for hanging out with your morning coffee, Cat!
