I used Lea shave soap in my shaving mug today for the first time, and it lathered beautifully. My Dovo Inox straightrazor with through my whiskers ĺike warm butter. Lea is a great soap.
LEA is one of my all time favorites! on your first lathering, i was screaming at my phone "please add more water mate!" haha. it's an odd soap where it's airy when it doesn't have enough water, whereas most soaps are more pasty without enough water. MWF is similar, which is why people have "issues" as they think it's a crap airy lather but it needs a lot more water along with agitation. LEA is now veg formula. i have the tallow which is awesome!
Lea aftershave believe it or not is pleasant and very moisturizing might wanna check it out. Love my Wolf Whiskers brushes, slight tip, if you check out Handlebar Supply and type into search they often have a stash of Wolf Whiskers brushes on exclusive sale from time to time and Maggard randomly throws a few up once in a blue as well. I see ATT has a newer Gem style out now, but haven't seen many reviews.
I'm personally rather fond of my old bullet tip, even the 1912 version, it's a classic. Saw one by Rocnel for 210.00 dollars, rather steep for the same angle and effect, kinda ugly lookin too.
Hi cris, that tub you used to mill the soap into, looks good, been after a good tub to use, the downside is, the only place I have seen it sold, is eBay, for between £6.50 to £7.50 but if they are really good I may get one, saw Kyle's vid like you he was gutted, anyway all the best bud.
Yeah really load your brush like crazy! It’s hard stuff to lather in my opinion but is pretty slick! I had a reaction to it on my face so I ended up using it as a soap For breaking my brushes in.

+zero9michael100 I'm surprised guys want a modern version when the vintage works so so well!!!!!

+zero9michael100 yeah it's the cost that gets me!
Another Cut Above if it were new technology like the one blade i could understand, but even they offer a cost effective core version.
+zero9michael100 yeah that's right bud! These vintage gems are lovely!

+Paul Charlesworth cheers pal! Yeah they are excellent tubs, retail normally for $8.50 I think but on special $4.00 so pretty good on special!
I got this soap today . I have not used it yet. So do I need just a little ? For it to work right , do I need to add a bit more water ? Thanks.

Bummer . And it was not cheap here in Toronto. I got it on sale for $14 can . The puck is small .
With this soap should I use my badger or boar brush ?
It’s rock hard so I’d go for boar 🐗 buddy!
Yes . That is what I used , a boar brush . Thanks . I really got a good shave .
