I just *know* that guy with the yveltol saw dream eater, only read “deals damage, recover 50% of damage,” ignored the important catch about sleep, and thought that was the greatest move ever
When he could also use oblivion wing, which recovers 75%, is stronger because of stab, and hits all mons.
That’s most definitely the case bc the same was true of me when I was playing Alpha Sapphire.

How does every person on showdown simultaneously know everything and nothing? Like I certainly have no idea that Blacephalon gets no flying moves off the top of my head but I feel like if I did I would also think about hidden power

I could see the guy getting hit by a flying move, thinking "Wait I don't think that's right." and then looking up a list of Blacephalon's movesn, he can just quickly look at the move types to see without taking forever.

This blacephalon gives you a reason WHY you need sturdy ability and focus sash.
Or Sucker Punch or Swift Swim or Tailwind or Barraskuda or some other things
I have a focus sash - topsy turvy- malamar specifically for such stuff and with contrary and superpower, it makes for a really decent mon. It's only the speed department in which it sucks.

Why the people in showdown think they are always the smartest? Even though they do not know, they're looking like crazy.

It's because they're better than casual players and forget that casual players are only worse than them because they don't bother with shit like IVs or EVs and instead just play whatever with pokemon they want rather than a meta team. So when they meet people who've actually bothered to learn the game beyond meta picks, they get destroyed.
I always find it hilarious seeing something like a clefable taking 2 shots and seeing legendaries get 1 shot, probably hurts their souls.

To be fair to some of them, Temp thinks outside the box putting on Hidden Power moves to act as whatever move type he wants when he Dynamaxes
(When you Dynamax, your moves get changed into another move based on what type it is (Flying gets Max Airstream, Fire get Max Flare, and so on). To my knowledge, Blacephalon (I've never even heard of this shit...Pokemon is some weird as shit now) does not learn a Flying move, so he shouldn't have Max Airstream, but you can teach some Pokemon Hidden Power which is a "Normal Type" move, but will change based on the environment you're in (I think, or maybe you can choose what type it is)...so Blacephalon was able to use Max Airstream because of it...plus you have to do some weird transfer shit to older games to even put Hidden Power on it since I think in Ultra Sun/Moon, they tried to remove it.

I might’ve just subscribed at a different time in your content, but when I at least first started watching you seemed focused on showing highlights of interesting and smart builds.

@@skullerclawerbandicoot7966 isn’t that completely normal on showdown? You can usually select whether a Pokémon is shiny or not regardless of which Pokémon it is
2 questions:
1) How many losses do you take till you get these wins?
2) Does it ever get boring beating people that have no idea what they’re doing (not counting the shit talkers. That shit’s great every time)?
Aren't matchups based on rating? If so I'd imagine he get equal wins and losses if he has ranked up to players at the same skill as him
Most of the times he played againts his own friends, the're good actors tho
TL:DR - He loses far more often than he wins due to forfeiting against things that break his gimmick strats.
He said it a few times if you can find the right videos. His win loss ratio is Public, and he loses quiet often. In fact you could basically call it a 9:1 L:W split, due to his videos being gimmicky mon sweeps that are easily countered. For example, a level 1 sweep team would get countered by Spikes, or any multi-hit move.
I respect you for taking advantage of showdown’s mechanics, but if hidden power was still in the game, I dont think it would work with dynamax because hidden powers did not work with z moves.
I've been complaining about this since gen 8 was incorporated, and no one has ever given me a reason for why they made it work this way. It doesn't make any sense, and I think they know, but they just like the ability to use any Max move on any Pokemon too much to get rid of it.
@@ultlifeform the reason is because Multi-Attack and Techno Blast (which are in SwSh) work like that. It displays Max Strike but changes to the max move of the right type, depending on what type the original move would be.
@@JuukaRock Every Max move functions like it did as a Z move. Multi-Attack and Techno Blast are not exceptions. The only reason their Z moves couldn't change type is because Z moves require a Z crystal, and you cannot hold a Z crystal AND the item that changes the type of those moves at the same time. Dynamax doesn't require a hold item.

@@JuukaRock Weather Ball changed type as a Z move, just like it does as a Max move. Terrain Pulse, being essentially the same move makes sense. Aura Wheel didn't exist with Z moves. So yeah... all moves act the same as Max moves that they did as Z moves... except Hidden Power.

Because of unburden you should outspeed most mons

It's weird How HP become a it's type move for dynamax when z crystals only work for it as normal and judgement in swsh changes to max strike regardless of type

That's because it was specifically coded to work that way by the Showdown team since there's no support for it in-game. You normally wouldn't be able to have Hidden Power in a SwSh battle, so for "National Dex SwSh" modes they made it work that way.
@@Pizza_Is_Cool I know, but like as a precedent it doesn't make sense. Cause judgement arceus' multi type move is normal during dynamax. And HP is coded to only work with Normalium Z crystal in S/M so it's weird that the showdown devs would make it work like it does.
Don’t forget max move weather ball does change type depending on the weather so there are some moves that do change as expected
@@tortle1055 true but I would argue that weatherball is a different kinda move since it changes during the match. Even technoblast counts as a normal type move for dynamax. So moves that have multiple types but can't change during the match

"How?" when the Chansey gets hit by the Blacephelon Stab move + Sun + Boosts + naturally high Sp Atk + I'm guessing a held item - it would have been weirder if it survived.
I'll never understad why they chose to remove hidden power from the game instead of making it so that while in dmax, it's just a normal type attack instead of a busted all-the-fuck-you-want thing.
That's how it should work, because that's how it works as a Z move, and all Max moves work like Z moves. But the people in charge like the option to have any Max move you want. If you question it, they just ignore you.
@@ultlifeform IMO hp zmove isn't as op as hp maximove. And I don't mean the guys in charge of smogon, I meant game freak. Removing moves from the code of the game is shit, but hp was a really cool way of adding versatility to the builds, and avoiding the busted max moves would have been as easy as making max hp a normal attack.
@@jaimeXDgo I think Hidden Power was actually removed from Sword and Shield because of the level of work it takes to get the "right Hidden Power." Gamefreak has been steering away from requiring dozens, if not hundreds of hours to aquire the "perfect" Pokemon. They keep making breeding easier and faster, giving legends guaranteed IVs, giving us ways to raise IVs later... The previous removal of HP's damage variation, and the eventual total removal of HP are just steps in that same direction. I think Max HP would have been Normal if it were added, just like the Z move.
