- Sit back and enjoy the nostalgic sounds of the original VHS-audio soundtracks--specifically a relaxing mix of low-energy or calm theme songs without combat music or too much drama. For some of us, Star Wars was just the Original Trilogy for over 20 years, before any serious new movies came out. 20 years of games, books, comics, shows, and more...all dreaming of what the original three established for us. This music mix is for a quick trip back to that time--a time when we still didn't even know what the Clone Wars looked like, and we could only *dream*. And a time when crossed wires and old, heavily-used tapes from Blockbuster sounded a little rough. But we made do :)
I remember being a kid, having the original trilogy with vader and two stormtroopers at the front, smiling, and watching time and time again return of the jedi. Just seeing that green lightsaber was something unique, a feeling of adventure, and, of course, just hitting rewind time and time again. And, one day, my father appeared with another original trilogy, a golden pack... and I was so amazed... those were the days...
I love the VHS noise in the back, truly better times and great memories playing all the games, I had tons of flashbacks from playing Rebellion and X-Wing Alliance/TIE Fighter and Jedi Knight mostly, great mix.
Glad I'm not the only one to remember the old games as well as the movies. These kinds of songs from the movies would often play as background music in many levels outside of combat.
Takes me back to my childhood when Star Wars was my life between the ages of 8 and 18, when I first saw the original trilogy on non special edition VHS tapes. I'd watch the movies over and over again, read the books, play the games, and even made a fan film with my brothers in the backyard and wrote a whole book length fan fiction when I was in high school.
Hearing all these brings back so many memories it makes me tear up. 🥹

While I appreciate the nostalgic VHS noise filter, could you please upload a filter-free version of this mix ? It's surprisingly hard to find a good mix of relaxing Star Wars music, let alone one focussed on the original trilogy. Either way, thank you for your work !

Nah bruh, I'd never give up seeing the prequels and Palpatine's plan come to fruition + the clone and droid armies.
But I do wish it was easier to get the proper original versions of the OT :/
When I die, I want to be reincarnated into a world where Disney never bought Lucasfilm and 1-6 were the only Star Wars films.
