- A day after limiting his participation during training camp Tua Tagovailoa sat out the second day entirely. Is his unwillingness to work during Miami Dolphins practice going to force management's hand, convincing them to improve the offer? In the latest Dolphins In Depth podcast, we discussed that and training camp's top standouts on day two.

Barry is so right about doing what's right by the team. As much as I love Tua he has more to prove. Tuas agency can kick rocks if there trying to extort the Dolphins. Team before any player
Kansas City's tackle held on virtually every play last year.
Barry be spitting FACTS 💯 SALUTE!
Omar’s math: 0 playoff wins + 0 division championships = Super Bowl contender
although lions won the division 2023. some would’ve said the same about the lions before the 2023 season. if you don’t believe then there’s no hope. same goes for the players
Sorry guys, audio is to bad to listen to whole report.
fix your mic omar
Cry about it kid
Working on it
@@marvinmartian8842 whaaaaaa!!!!
The fair thing to offer Tua and everybody involved is a three year contract starting this year for 50 million a year 100% guaranteed money. So 3 yr 150 million 100% guaranteed
PREACH, Barry, PREACH!!!!
I don't blame Tua one bit. I wouldn't play unless I have too. That doesn't sound like Tua though. They probably aren't showing him no love. They should of least matched Lawrence's contract. I want to see him play and show out and go elsewhere where he'd be appreciated. I don't doubt it's his management because it doesn't sound like Tua not playing. He loves playing and loves his team mates. None of us knows what's going on. He got them injuries because Grier can't put a o line together. X did it but doesn't sound like Tua sitting out. I'd only sign a 3-5 deal. I want never forget Flomar Kelly telling Big O Tua can't even throw 40 yards and O said Tua threw a beautiful 40 plus yard to a receiver and was beautifully thrown. Kelly said uh uh uh uh yeah that's right. He didn't even watch the game. Lol Tua out played Larmar in that comeback win.
The audio is full blown shot. Need to just charge this one and hit that re-do button
How's the big contract working out in Cincinnati? Joe's injury is permanently affecting his throwing for life. Oh Cincinnati missed the playoffs and is in the hook. That was smart.
Tua has not even shown he can beat above .500 teams, or win in cold weather or stay healthy, or win a playoff game. So the answer is to pay him 55 million a year?
I like Tannehill as possible move
What team is going to give up multiple first and second round picks and meet Tua's contract demands? Oh, that's right, nobody.
Barry, I disagree with your view of the Tua situation. However, this has been your best podcast. I like how you defended your position, and how you address the camera when you expressed your opinions. Well done! It was a very enjoyable podcast!
Other than being in love with Tua how can you disagree with what he's saying? He's definitely right you don't lock yourself into a relationship that's so costly with so many unanswered questions about the player
Barry admitted they can’t win without Tua starting (14:08). The dolphins also know they can’t win without Tua so what’s the problem. Chris Grier and Brandon Shore keep digging themselves deeper and deeper the longer they wait.
I think sitting out hurts the team! Levion Bell wished he would have never sat out. Eventually, it hurts the player who sits out.
Barry says "the Dolphins already know." then pay him. Barry essentially is saying it's meaningless, yet you're talking about it.
Omar is being a bit "Polyana" ....I think Barry is right on with his assessment of the Dolphins
You can not pay any player due to injuries... how did Burrow and Jackson get those contracts.. some of the most injured players in the league.. lame argument..... Tua had a cheap shot from Milano that started that issue... problem is reduced greatly two years after.
If tua’s shown he can stay healthy a whole year, then the argument that you can’t pay him market value cause he can’t stay healthy is watered down. Pay the man. Team morale is more important this season
Barry, it's not about showing them how much worse they are with Mike White. You're correct when you say they already know that. This is about trying to get it done ASAP so Tua can still get some practice in before the season. If he still practices, that message becomes lost. I don't necessarily agree with the hold-in, but I think your reason provided is incorrect.
I am glad Patrick Paul is getting snaps and coached up.
Audio sucks, can't listen.
Wah
love this show but audio was crackling the entire time
OMAR let Grier cook trade The man!
That's going to impress management.
Audio is horrible
Omar is so insufferable when it comes to his desire to just give players money because they asked for it with no regard for the team
Totally agree. He doesn't have to plan for the future like the front office does. Omar is very short sighted in this regard.
Your mic bro...i cant
Who cares
Tua will get paid whether it’s by Miami or another team only thing that sucks they will franchise him .
We beat Baltimore 2 years ago at Baltimore. I know I live in MD and work in Baltimore.
Week 2 vs a team learning a new defense. Fool's gold.
Tua is 2-1 against Baltimore. We were also missing Waddle & Mosert when we played Baltimore besides the players missing on defense. Those 2 players accounted for 24 tds.
Barry spitting facts.. what evidences???
Yall know Miami is not paying unless you convince them, not no market BS
Pay Tua now! What are we waiting for Christmas ? Tua is the goat quit playing childish games sign the "MAN" Tua the great.
Audio not good
Deal with it
So how's it going to behove Tua to start the season slowly and get out of the gate with a 1 and 4 start?
Two OGs🏈
Saying he has a history of head injuries is not really accurate. Those popped up one season. Other than that he hasn’t had any. A lot of injuries are just bad luck. He has no higher risk of getting a concussion than anybody else does.
They should sign Tannehill
Barry is wrong here. Lets pretend Burrow isnt injury proned lol. Come on man. Omar is right
What Omar is talking about I wouldn't want a player like that on my team anyway, see ya 👀🤭
Mic is messed up
The audio on this one is pretty rough. Love the content, but this one was pretty hard to get through.
Why do we have back up QBs who can’t win? Playing with fire
FACTS 💯 why have backups that's pure garbage!
Shoulda drafted Jordan Travis or Jason Beane to develop. We're so fuct if Tua goes down. That'd be a fireable oversight.
Keep Omar believing Omar🙏 In Tua We Trust
Very very interesting 🤙🏼❤️🐬🙏🏼🇺🇲🫡
I don’t think the dolphins realize how bad it would be to have to start Mike white all season. Hold out is completely necessary
Thats Miami for ya, we never take care of each other. Wilkens, Gary Sheffield Jeff Conine, Wes Welker, Peter Worrell, etc.... and now Tua. The Kraft Family licking their lips right now hoping we let Tua hit the market😑
50 years of losing, showing they don’t know a franchise QB when it hits em in the face.
Yep been so long they'll settle for anything, not The Real Miami fan, as of right now Tua is not a franchise QB FACTS 💯
Skylar Thompson should be back up he should've been giving a starting chance after he got us in the playoffs like purdy n 49ers
Your sound is glitched fix it
He played with Fins when they had no O-line and took a beating
All these 'ifs' that Barry is spouting. If Jalen Ramsey does down, if our top edge rusher takes a step back, etc, etc... It's topical mainstream media fear mongering, because you could literally say that about every single NFL team. Does anyone think the Chiefs field that same killer defense if Chris Jones or Trent McDuffie can't play?
You really think Tua and his agent didn’t talk prior to starting camp whether he was going to participate or not?
Barry knows is his name.
why we acting like tua is any more prone to head injuries when literal doctors have said he’s not more prone to head injury’s then anyone in the nfl please research how concussion work
Barry was 100% correct
Couldn’t they make it ridiculous easy to make bonus money 💰? So it’s easy for Tua to make some $$$ and protect the team. Like 8 tds to trigger a 5-10 million dollar bonus? Or something like that? 🤷♂️. 🐬🔥🙌
Oh my gosh, Omar, tackle holding? 90% of tackles hold on 80-90% of plays.
Steve Ross must have Brady on speed dial.....😅😅😅
People think too much of Tua from what he's doing now the market is the market guy definitely would go into the season with fake injuries
The only team willing to pay Tua is Miami. The market is the market.
TAGOVAILOA giving Barry something to disagree about.
8:40 no he doesn't want to get taken care of.. he wants to set an example and be the highest paid player of all time and that's crazy
Funny how these beat reporters think they are football analysts and now, experts in negotiations. Stick to reporting the facts and take your own advice of not being too judgmental.
Fins win 10 games if d-fence gels and Tua gets sorted
Barry carrying the companies water. Tua has no real incentive to help Miami unless they help him.
No one said anything about Joe burrow injury history
Fins are cheap!
Barry , it is a championship roster.
No
I think Ryan Tannehill is better for the Dolphins backup than M. White.
glad you're not our GM ..you never pay A BACKUP QB 10 mil plus...that's what you'd pay T-hill
All I hear is injuries this, and concussions that.. jeebus Christ batman
you just answered the situation and don't believe it.
Rough audio today fellas. Hard to listen to. Alain (your bitter rival) had better audio from Iceland 😂
Who cares
@@marvinmartian8842 I do. Many others do too. So impressive that you don’t.
Ouch
Phinz Up
Grier is a cancer for this team. He is a holdover from Ireland and acts just like him. He is the complete antithesis to Tua. No warmth, kindness, respect in him. We can never repair the relationship now between Tua and the fins. Tua is all about respect and brotherhood. It is permanently destroyed. We need him. We stink without him. Pay him!
Yo barry long time follower here….. i think youve gone off the rails on this lol. Im not seeing what youre seeing on tua or the talent on this team. This is their chance.
Barry, the last 24 years has nothing to do with this team. Stop bringing it up. Good lord you are better than that. All the injuries last year had cause them to lose last year. It’s sad you write for the team but forget everything happened to the team.
time to bring in tannhill trade mike white or trade tua
Forget Tannehill. I think they should trade for Malik Willis. He has traits. Coach him up. Could be better than Tua.
@@TT-cj9fi could be...ouch ..no thanks w this roster and tua...we're ballin' ...dont want could be
Really, Baltimore lost their offensive line and half their defense. Buffalo hasn't got a #1 reciever and are decimated on defense. Kansas City stunk for half the season and hasn't improved offensively. Reality check.
Omar's not the sharpest Dolphin fan....
Barry is out to lunch
Trade for and develop Malik Willis. He has the traits to be a bigger weapon than Tua.
Dolphins don't even deserve Tua, they wouldn't pay Robert Hunt to protect him and they didn't draft Graham Barton to protect their franchise QB. We need to upgrade our offensive line and pay Tua wherever he wants otherwise we are doomed to mediocrity or sub pair AKA as per usual pre Tua irrelevancy. We are finally a relevant team but we can't stand success and self destruct as per usual. Letting Hunt go and not willing to protecting your franchise QB and not drafting Graham Barton shows they have no intent in supplying their franchise QB with an adequate offensive line they destroyed Ryan tanihill and they are trying to destroy Tua too, Tua is better off jumping ship and go to a team with a real offensive line and not living in a make believe fantasy world with no offensive line.
Terrible audio
Cry about it
8 or 9 team sorry 2 say
barry how do you have a job
Your connection is terrible and breaking up like a bad date.
unwatchable fix your mics
It’s fine, you’re just soft
@@marvinmartian8842 lol you're replying to every comment that points out the bad audio? What a weird freak you must be.
@@marvinmartian8842 Lol you're replying to every comment that points out the bad audio? You ok? Maybe it's time to go outside and get some fresh air pal. Get a life.
This is so stupid in 2 years the money wont even be top 10
Barry not calling this top 5-10 roster in the league a championship team makes zero sense to me. Barry needs to take a good look around the league and actually get to know who other teams are trotting out there.
Yeah, I agree. Outside of G and maybe DT (depending on Campbell and Tart's ability to play), Miami has one of the deepest and most complete rosters in the NFL.
Barry is 100% correct. Vegas has their win total at 9.5, and that's exactly right. Looking at 9-8 or 10-7 (if they get lucky)
11-12 wins ..or more ...vegas isn't football savy
@@Keeferz4Keeperz LMAOOO
Omar! U r being held back sir, u deserve better. Appreciate ur work as always. I’d be here more often if I didn’t have to listen to the other clown 😂
😂
Tua is not going to let the dolphins lowball him in his prime years. It's not happening. If I am 35 with an injury history, that's different, not 26. You got to pay me...
Barry has no future in ever being an agent for any player. It’s called negotiations. Do better Barry.
Unlistenable
Barry is terrible. Maybe he is ok with getting paid mediocre because he is but no nfl qb should want to give the team protection while getting no protection themselves. Miami will just walk away from him if he gets hurt and not care about him at all. Tua needs to protect his future. If i was Holland, i wouldn't even talk about signing another contract with Miami. I would sign elsewhere. They have shown they don't care about their own players
Oh my gosh, Omar, tackle holding? 90% of tackles hold on 80-90% of plays.
