Great to see an extra long episode. I really enjoyed the SOS, great show! Mr. Wittmann thank you for taking the time to talk with me and my wife. It was also nice to see Rob, the man behind the camera.
Aha, a XXL Show and a great show it is ! Tha Wittmann is back in full force after his two weeks of hunting for desirable items !! Now, Johnny looks very at ease...... I remember seeing video's of The Wittmann in Germany in the early days...... A good looking American in Germany ^^ And Marie wasn't around ...... Well, well ...... Johnny isn't a real German name isn't it lol. The return of the "Lost Son" ??? (great video as always and greetz from overseas !)
These sort of items are not the usual militaria I collect. However, I enjoy learning from someone with your knowledge Tom. You have an easy relaxed attitude which is very enjoyable. I wish you really good health Tom and long may your masterclass into this subject continue - cheers Sir. PS great camera work too! And having your friend with you was a treat as well - he seemed a nice guy.
Johnny sounds like he is himself a long time collector and very knowledgeable in 3rd Reich collecting. Obviously not as knowledgeable as Tom with edged weapons.
Johnny made a great suggestion. Make a video on the proper way to sheath a dagger. Then maybe another video on how to do portepee knots on daggers, bayonets, and swords. Have Johnny come back. He's great.
Just wanted to let you know thanks. Can’t wait tell you show these idiots how long a true collector can live.cheers from David Simpsons brother . Love the Videos
Hi Mr. Whitman. Nice to see you. Always nice watch your videos. Thank you for the good information. You are number one Mr. Whitman. Jack from California.
Great stuff! Tom was on a comedic foll until those unbelievable naval daggers took him back. You could make this 10 hours and we’d watch it. Infact I was getting itchy as an unboxing hadn’t happened in a week!
It's a good thing the guy from Tasmania is getting out of collecting. He didn't pack the tube properly, and maybe he didn't care about the history of the daggers. In a sense, we really don't own these collectibles. We are paying to take care of them, cherish them, and preserve them properly for the next person to pay to do the same.
The ship Gorch Fock was a German Naval training ship built in 1933. A triple masted sailing ship 😊it was taken by the Russians as a war trophy. A new Gorch Fock was built in 1958. The original was returned to Germany in 2003. That hat tally is significant.😊
But now it is time to reach up into the rafters and remove a bottle of "Old Barn Owl" bourbon. Now if the show was about Soviet militaria we would reach for a bottle of "Sputnik Vodka" yes one glass will send you into orbit!
U9 sunk three Chatham class cruisers off the Dutch Hook in 1914, they were old , and so were their crews , many were RN reservists called up on the outbreak of war , HMS Aboukir was crewed with very many older reservists who in August 1914 were serving Metropolitan police officers . The cries of wives , mothers & children of the drowned haunted the London streets for many months with their grief , a particularly cowardly attack the first struck was the Aboukir torpedoed , HMS Hogue and HMS Cressy were torpedoed in turn attempting to pick survivors out of the sea , , The U9 & her captain were / are remembered with much disgust pain & anguish in London , the sowed the seed and they later reaped the world wind , remember HMS Aboukir, HMS Hogue and HMS Cressy,
Wow, that was a gut buster . I had to watch it in steps. Johnny is hands down your Ed Mcmahon. The best co-host ever!!
Thanks Tom,
The SOS video and a bonus length unboxing video w/ guest is absolutely amazing!!!
A double barrel Wittmann Friday. Great stuff Tom and Johnny was a terrific addition. Keep up the excellent work gents!

You seem to amaze your guest Johnny with your knowledge. I can't wait until you tell him about that Bob Burns cutter. 😃 Known around the world! 🤩
Tom definitely amazes me with his knowledge. I'm sure alot of us feel the same way.
Johnny sounds like he is himself a long time collector and very knowledgeable in 3rd Reich collecting. Obviously not as knowledgeable as Tom with edged weapons.
Thank you Mr. Wittmann for another episode and for sharing your knowledge with the rest of us collector's.
Almost three hours, and I thought I'd skip around. Nope, I watched every enjoyable minute of it. Thanks.
I think this has been my favourite video so far! It is great to see someone else’s reactions to the items, on camera.

So frustrating as an Australian collector to see this stuff leave our shores, it’s impossible to find stuff like that here😢
The greatest thumbnail ever.
Hi, on the Knickmann dagger is written "Zweitausfertigung" = second piece. Do you know who has got the first and where it is? Greetings from Germany.
Great stuff, gentlemen.
Great video! Glad your doing well tom!
Wow.. double joy!
Johnny was great, need to have him back for the next box show.

Fantastic long video I watched every minute. Everything looks super nice. Too much to itemize comments. But thank you for posting
Judging by the mustache and nose the "SA mann" on that plaque (at 02:33:30) is AH, himself.
3 cigars, 2 drinks & a beer.
You missed the serial number on the ss röhm dagger at 1:12:01 you can see it in the reflection of the blade.
In an other Video about SOS 23 I heard a guy saying "....ah, Wittmann - the godfather of daggers...." - that's true!
Think Johnny v needs his own show, he would be brilliant
Anyone that loves Tom says yeah
Tom, did the last 2nd Mod. Luft have an Ivory Grip?
I must ask, what's with all the wojacks on the wall? Simply just curious.
