When George brought him to the Let It Be sessions, Billy felt like "Wow!!"......and the Beatles all felt like "Wow!!" and the fighting stopped and they had a ton of fun while he was there playing with them.
If you watch the full Video of the concert, look at the emotion on Eric's face as he plays While My Guitar Gently Weeps. I don't think he has ever played with such emotion and love.

How do you get so many talented people on one stage and have everything go off so well? George was conducting them through their heats and souls. They were all on the same page.
The sum of all the parts makes this unbelievable. Just when you say that's the best , it keeps getting equaled or bettered. Can't say how many times I have watched the video.
I have never read a bad word about George that I can remember, and he sure had so many friends. he was not a person who made mistakes, but he was an amazing talented human being for sure.

musically speaking. Magical.
Such deep appreciation and love, Lee, must nourish you even now. . . . I'm sorry, though, that you had to experience the heartache of such loss.
When George brought him to the Let It Be sessions, Billy felt like "Wow!!"......and the Beatles all felt like "Wow!!" and the fighting stopped and they had a ton of fun while he was there playing with them.
You certainly had a privileged seat at an amazing event. Kudos to you.
I could watch these guys all day
Love to see these guys working things out. Oh, to be a part of that rehearsal!
Just buy the DVD or the download of Concert For George. You will not be disappointed.
You are 1,000% CORRECT!!
If you watch the full Video of the concert, look at the emotion on Eric's face as he plays While My Guitar Gently Weeps. I don't think he has ever played with such emotion and love.
^^^ THIS
Unforgeatble marvelous concert ⚘ the best that I Ever Heard ⚘ gorgeus ⚘
Yep. Superb concert and great video
Great to hear Andy Fairweather Lowe singing again, he’s often with EC and deserves some respect for his quality.
Totally agree.
Who's the guy with glasses, white shirt, and black vest who's seen singing lead a couple of times?
@@Cosmo-Kramer that’s Andy Fairweather Lowe - see Amen Corner etc. Regular with EC
@@martynadams2011 Cool, thanks. Any idea who the keyboardist is? Short gray hair.
@@Cosmo-Kramer that’s Gary Brooker - Procul Harum ‘Whiter Shade of Pale’ look for his up to date version live from Denmark !
Dhani was the only one with a Beatle haircut.
You need the thick hair of a young man to pull that style off
So like his Dad
@@cherylbrown1038 Yes, so like George! His father would have been so proud of him. Lovely concert, but I cried all the way through it! Loved George and was so grateful for the contribution he made to the Beatles, to music, and to the spirit of an age!
well, that cant beat two of the people who made it a thing
Probably the only one who COULD have a Beatle haircut!! ha ha!
Great footage for a great concert
Un grand et énorme MERCI pour autant de pépites.....un vrai régal....que de plaisir a écouter et réécouter
Really enjoy the trip back to the days of great music
How do you get so many talented people on one stage and have everything go off so well?
George was conducting them through their heats and souls. They were all on the same page.
Great Musicians
Thank you so much for your Magic Music.
God Bless Them Always.
México
Fun seeing Eric Clapton as a Wilbury.
George's son Dhani's an 'Honorary' Wilbury. :)
He wasn't a😊😃 wilbury.
Eric was never a willbury . This was a concert for George Harrison,
.
How come he never joined them? 🤔
The sum of all the parts makes this unbelievable. Just when you say that's the best , it keeps getting equaled or bettered. Can't say how many times I have watched the video.
A very good friend bought me this box set a few years ago, and it’s still one of my prized possessions.
Finishing with 'I'll see you in my dreams' was so perfect 🤗💓
I have never read a bad word about George that I can remember, and he sure had so many friends. he was not a person who made mistakes, but he was an amazing talented human being for sure.
Dhani even stands & plays like his famous Dad.
One reason for me to go back in time - to be in that concert
How many times do I need to watch this video....
Dhani is the spitting image of George aha
It's a bit spooky. But when he talks, he's his own man.
I was spat upon by George Harrison at The Concert for the People of Bangaladesh. Too close to the stage, I guess.... Hahaha.
Fantastic music😍
yes he is.
@@banzai0212 Don't believe he did that
God bless every one of them. i can see the smile on George's face.
All that talent in there, amazing...❤️
This is awesome.... to actually see a video of them rehearsing... I don’t know how it works but whoever posted this,
Really dynamic !!
These “rehearsals” are better than anything my band has ever done
Great stuff , all you guys are so talented .
I am a life long "Slow hand" fan and the feelings I saw during his solo made me cry. Bravo Gentlemen! Bravo!
He truly showed his love for the guy. They shared a wife and they still are friends that says a lot about their friendship.
@@peterritchie7944 They were lifelong mutual admirers.
This concert By George is wonderful. I want it everyday
Que maravillosa banda recordando a George Harrison 🎶🎸😍
I've always loved the Beatles. And i remember staying up late that night/early morning hours doing some work with Vh1 playing in the background when they announced that George had died after a long battle with cancer and i remember being shocked and cried. This world is so messed up we need music to escape our favorite musicians become be important as family almost.. The songs.. The voices that we relate too. Tells the story of our lives. When we have to start Losing those special people too. Sure makes living a lot less special
I love Eric’s voice but I’m quite happy they had Paul sing “All things” during the proper performance
I was so disappointed it was Paul. Different opinions! hahah
@@sportsportsport true. Me personally I thought it was full circle considering the Beatles rejected it, and now there’s Paul singing it live
@@ringohendrix9659 Hmm, I read that the Beatles didn't reject ATMP at all, but that it was George himself who did. I guess they hadn't finished the song yet in time, perfecting it. Paul's voice suits this song so well.
@@sportsportsport Me, too. I've had enough Paul and John to last 10 lifetimes.
@@Joylibelle I think George didn’t want ATMP to be a Beatles song. He knew he’d be putting out a solo album and was saving it. I think he did everything he could during the Let it Be sessions to make sure the song was not used.
É simplesmente magnífico ver esses monstros consagrados do rok fazendo essa homenagem merecida à um dos maiores músicos dos besouros inglês. Sensacional. Magnifico.
Jeff Lynne is Music Genius and a fantastic producer.
About a thousand years of experience on that stage. And every year put to GOOD use .
Listen to all those great songs. This is what made the Beatles so special, Not one, not two, but three incredible songwriters.
The live concert perfomance was just transformative. For them as well as me. They all looked like they were having spiritual experiences. In the zone.
Hello Hannah
Thanks guys. Love you Jeff for putting this together.
.
..
Best of The best.
Imagine this is just a rehearsal… Jeff Lynne is the best overall musician ever! And a fantastic producer.
Jeff Lynne always shows up with the best of the best musicians :)
Ray Cooper is illegally underrated! The best percussionist in the world. Hats off to you sir!
Underrated? Sure? I think that lots of consumers do not know him. Musicians appreciate him - because he is the perfect percussionist
Natan Skorput agree with your sentiment but Ray Cooper is anything BUT underrated by the music community. He quite literally bats invitations away from serious musicians to play with them. It’s said the only musician he will never turn down is Eric Clapton.
@@MrNewc0985 I think I misworded my comment, he is someone whose name should not just be known by musicians but also by mainstream media, but then again, I don't know how many people would attend a concert just to go see the percussionist perform, but this guy could be it.
He's an even better pianist. That's where he is underrated
So how are these songs any better with that tambourine you can't hear? Tracy Partridge could have done it.
I love the ending bit at 6:40 where Eric plays the final guitar riff until he gets it right.
I love it too. I watched Eric guitar riff 20 times in a row. Do you know the name of this last song? It's so lovely!
@@Marcus_Berger1701 The song is called "I'll See You In My Dreams".
i can only hope i will be remembered with such grace and true love.
