One of the pioneers of Juju music.
Dele Ojo had a unique genre of Juju cum Highlife Yoruba music rendered flawlessly in Ijesha dialect. He was a star of sixties and he died a star recently
May his soul rest in perfect peace. Adieu, Emperor Dele Ojo
I don't think Emperor Dele Ojo was from Ijesha area,I think he was from Akure,I stand to be corrected though.
R l P. He passed away 5 days ago.
I'm confused isn't this yinka ayefeles's drum kit drummer father
Ah, Dele Ojo. One of the more original, if less well-known, juju practitioners.
Original, recognisable style. Solid guitar breaks. Superior percussion.
Dele Ojo was not less well known,he was so popular during his time but it was due to how things were in his time.
