I work the Anadarko oil Basin fields of Oklahoma and Texas for Bill Jackson rig company out of Oklahoma City. We had another yard in Elk City Oklahoma. 150 ton mobile crane operator. This is the first time I've ever seen this wonder what OSHA has to say about this. Pretty smart idea though cranes are very expensive
oh man, oh fuck, this is so, so cool, # 1 to load, # 2 to snub, and the 3 line to snug and draw..Best achieved through 3 ass holes on a nice firm apron..No need for poles or crane to baby sit here...DRIVER "TANDEM HAND " and SWAMPER " THE DRIVERS EYE " make this happen...
I was a crane operator in the oilfield for four years I wish I was on the same location when you said that I would have dropped a load on you. Oops sorry about that what was that roughneck doing under my load. Another One Bites the Dust oh yeah
Done that same thing thing probably 1000 times back in the old days.

Two gin trucks on the other end helping it the tandem pull the draworks onto the spreaders. Still move them like this today.
