Thank you very much your great teacher!! Whenever I’m not 100% sure of a standard melody, I always refer to your channel. You break it down to the point that anyone can understand and play it correctly. Keep up the good work. Thanks.
Many thanks for the lesson on Time After Time, especially on the tips on how to reharmonize. I have loved this song for many years. It was composed by Jule Steyn with lyrics by Sammy Cahn.
Merci infiniment! We have access at your mind and your choice when you explaines, I don’t know if we can say that in English. I learn a lot with you. Thanks. I’m a beginner in jazz. Îm happy to learn with you.
2 points:- 1) I've been playing piano for years. I can do the rock/pop stuff fairly easily but I always find jazz difficult. Not the chords or the altered chords so much but the improv. Sometimes I practice a lot and sometimes I don't practice hardly at all but I still find I come to the same brick wall with this stuff. it's very frustrating! 2) Melodies:- I find a good trick is to start with some silly made up lyrics, this tends to point to a melody and also a rhythm.
Wow, thanks Maestro. Your 'for beginners' stuff is most useful: easy to learn and a great practice for all my weak points. Be ware that the link in the description leads to 'Nefertiti'... once more a great weekend to you and to everybody 😊...
@@TonyWinston ...and you did. And this is a nice and lively piece that I never heard before but is currently refusing to leave my head... thank you Maestro 😊.
I love the way even your basic lessons sound great! I'm only sorry that there are a few hundred thousand jazz fans out there that haven't subscribed yet 😉
I love your tutorial videos! Thank you for your time and effort! The melodies come to my mind but I can't play them exactly on the piano..... What kind of practice should I do?
Chords ! I will address this in a video, thanks for a great question. Open voicings are easier to play but LH 4 note chords are easier to learn. Learn and memorize chords to jazz standards. practice 2-5-1s.
Supporting comments and commenting supports. Everybody’s happy !! Do you know that Rod Stewart recorded the standard ? We’re so lucky to be loving you, Tony !

Good lesson ... I like C also! Nice to hear real music
And you did it again, Maestro. Thank you. Saludos desde Buenos Aires
P.S. As some of us use to call Bmi7b5 as B "Saturno". Funny... Isn't it
Thank you so much, sir. You are a blessing.

Thank you Tony !
Thanks
I often forget to like and comment, but doing those this time. Rock on, Tony. Or since it's jazz, maybe "swing on" fits a little better.
Another great lesson, thanks Tony!

Time after time - Chet Baker
I wish you could paste the chords you use to sing accompanied on the piano
👏👏👏

The Cyndi Lauper's was Time After Time After Time.
Trumpet player trying to get some keyboard skills. What would you suggest to do?

Wonderful video. You are so sweet, Tony.
Thank you kindly
Tony its not that odd for a maj 7th melody note with a 6th chord. Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole songs do that a lot.
