The only modification that I do is pre-measure the elastics to fit the wearer, instead of tying the knot to adjust.

Напоминаю всем самоделкиным, что ношение маски ВНЕ СТЕРИЛЬНОГО ПОМЕЩЕНИЯ БОЛЬНИЦЫ не только бесполезно, но и негативно влияет на здоровье. Даже медицинская маска вирусу параллельна, но она хотя бы задерживает крупные болезнетворные бактерии,например, туберкулезной палочки, а вот х.б полотно -- это инкубатор не только для бактерий, но и для всяких мелких клещей, вроде бельевых. Ношение многоразовой маски -- это верный способ вырастить жуткую респираторную, да и кишечную бактерию для конкретного человека, которую, на радость фарма компаниям, придется вытравливать целым комплексом антибиотиков. Раз уж этот абсурд невозможно остановить ТОЛЬКО МЕДИЦИНСКАЯ МАСКА С ЗАМЕНОЙ РАЗ В СУТКИ. Особенно для пожилых людей. Я то в принципе за то, что бы глупых людей стало меньше, но Вы цепляете сие на маленьких детей и пожилых родителей, у которых и так болячек хватает.
Надеюсь вы не медик. Ибо весь мед персонал подписался не разглашать...

Thanks Mia for this mask tutorial. It is the very best mask I've made thus far. At the start of the pandemic & mask wearing became a recommended safety measure, I made the one that had pleaded folds by the ear. The basic version that first came out. I just started doing different variants of masks to see which one works best. I've watched videos & made 2 different kinds before I watched this one and made it and tried it on. OHH MY GOSH!! This mask is PERFECT!!! It fits nice and snug to the face, along the chin line and above the nose as well. It does NOT come off your nose when you move your jaw to speak either. There's plenty of room to talk without it falling down!! I didn't even make the medium & small size because the large 22cm size works just fine.
I did do one altering thing to it, which was to run a piece of pipe cleaner along the top where it goes over the bridge of ones nose. I like wiring in my masks to insure a tighter fit & no air particle to enter in. After setting the wire along the top, I sewed a thin line along it to hold it in place. Other then the lack of wiring, this is def' the BEST mask out there. I highly recommend this style to everyone!! Thanks again. All your masks styles are nice but I like this one best! HUGS!!

Установлено, что ношение маски N95 часами может снизить оксигенацию крови на 20 %, что приводит к потере сознания.
Именно эта ситуация случилась с несчастным парнем, который ездил в своей машине в маске N95. В итоге он потерял сознание, попал в ДТП и получил травмы.
То же самое несколько раз происходило с пожилыми людьми или больными, страдающими легочными заболеваниями. Они теряли сознание и падали, ударяясь головой. При очень неблагоприятном стечении обстоятельств это, конечно, могло привести к смерти.
Недавнее исследование, в котором приняли участие 159 работников здравоохранения в возрасте от 21 до 35 лет, показало, что у 81 % людей головные боли возникали от ношения маски для лица. У некоторых боли продолжались даже после снятия масок. Естественно, что головные боли отрицательно влияют на качество работы людей.
К сожалению, никто не говорит слабым пожилым людям и больным с легочными заболеваниями о такой опасности при ношении масок для лица любого типа. Никто не разъясняет, что ношение ими масок может вызвать серьезное ухудшение функционирования легких.
Безусловно, это касается и пациентов с раком легких и людей, перенесших операцию на легкие.
Важность этих результатов заключается в том, что снижение уровня кислорода (гипоксия) напрямую связано с нарушением иммунитета.
Исследования показали, что нехватка кислорода подавляет активность основных иммунных клеток, используемых для борьбы с вирусными инфекциями, называемыми CD4 + Т-лимфоцитами.
Это создает условия для заражения организма любой инфекцией, включая COVID-19, и делает последствия этой инфекции гораздо серьезнее. По сути, ваша маска вполне может подвергнуть вас повышенному риску инфецирования, что может иметь гораздо худшие последствия.
Люди, страдающие раковыми заболеваниями, будут подвергаться еще большому риску от продолжительной гипоксии, поскольку рак активнее всего растет в микроокружении с низким содержанием кислорода.
Низкое содержание кислорода также способствует развитию атеросклероза и, следовательно, усиливают все сердечно-сосудистые (сердечные приступы) и цереброваскулярные (инсульт) заболевания.
Существует и другая опасность. Длительное ношение маски человеком, зараженным респираторным вирусом, опасно прежде все для него самого.
С каждым выдохом на прилегающей к лицу стороне маски будут оставатся вирусы. Если это маска N95 или другая плотно облегающая маска, то человек будет постоянно вдыхать вирусы, повышая их концентрацию в легких и носовых проходах, провоцируя создание дисбаланса в работе иммунной системы.
Однако ситуация может оказаться еще сложнее. Новые данные свидетельствуют о том, что в некоторых случаях вирус может проникнуть в мозг. В большинстве случаев он попадает в мозг через обонятельные нервы (нервы запаха), которые напрямую связаны с областью мозга, имеющей дело с недавней памятью и консолидацией памяти.
При ношении маски выдыхаемые вирусы не выбрасываются наружу, а концентрируются в носовых проходах, через обонятельные нервы проникая в мозг человека и разрушая его.

The researchers found that about a third of people using face masks experienced headaches. If a person had a headache before putting on the mask, then when wearing the mask, the pain intensified so much that 60% of them were forced to take painkillers.
Headaches are caused by a decrease in the level of oxygen in the blood (hypoxia) and / or an increase in the level of carbon dioxide - CO2 (hypercapnia) in the blood.

Low oxygen content also contributes to the development of atherosclerosis and therefore aggravates all cardiovascular (heart attacks) and cerebrovascular (stroke) diseases.
There is another danger as well. Long-term wearing of a mask by a person infected with a respiratory virus is primarily dangerous for himself.
With each exhalation, viruses will remain on the side of the mask adjacent to the face. If it is an N95 mask or another tight-fitting mask, then the person will constantly inhale viruses, increasing their concentration in the lungs and nasal passages, provoking an imbalance in the immune system.
However, the situation can be even more complicated. New evidence suggests that in some cases the virus can enter the brain. In most cases, it travels to the brain via the olfactory nerves (smell nerves), which are directly connected to the area of the brain dealing with recent memory and memory consolidation.

Just made it. I traced the rim of my largest mixing bowl. My glasses do fog just a tiny, tiny bit with it on but I am still able to see fine (unlike with other masks). I did find that I was able to blow out a flame with the mask on so I am going to add a piece of cheesecloth for added protection.

These are the best and easiest to make masks. I've made 21 so far for our family. The small size fits our kids 8-12, medium for me and large for my hubby. I do add an extra non woven layer as recommended by WHO.

I love this design it's easy to make and it has a tight seal around the face. I added a layer of propylene making it 3 layers thick, it gives some stability to the mask which is kind of nice. I've also added a wire into the top around the edge. Thank you for sharing
At what point did you add the propylene? Did you cut it round? Thanks!
@@maryannebernal3342 I just cut an extra circle layer. If I’m not making them with propylene I put an extra layer of cotton. You have to remember to put the straps in between the two outer layers and the third layer just automatically goes in the middle. It’s works easily.
