So when a friend of mine from work told me Slaves had changed their name to Soft Play my first three responses were "What?" then "Why?" then I jokingly said 'I don't like change!"... so just imagine the absolute joy and amazement on both of our faces after this song came out and used it as a part of the chorus

I find it ironic that they changed their name from slaves because it was problematic but have RW in their song who recently took a boat load of money to perform in a recently built stadium that resulted in the death of many slaves.
This is the among the finest punk tunes I have ever heard. Champions.
Importantly, for me, lyrically its got to the finest riposte to the fckg idiots who claims to "know" what punk is. Masterful.

Brilliant, as an old punk and being around when the movement started, these guys are one of the most engaging newer generation punk bands. If they ever tour in my area I'll go see them, hopefully they let old folks in to their shows ;)
Check out rest easy, comeback kid, and cancer bats. Last 2 are more hardcore than punk but shits sick. All canadian bands

I actually had never heard of Slaves or Soft Play but happened to catch this song on the radio and I immediately loved it! Then found out the story behind it and loved it even more, been listening to their music and definitely have to check them out if they ever come to Denver!

Saw these guys live in Brighton a few days ago as the opening act for the Prodigy. Fucking awesome, such an energetic stage presence and absolutely brilliant music. One of the best live experiences I've had ❤
