Ginataang Kamansi Recipe (Kamansi with coconut milk)

  • Here's a simple recipe for Ginataang Kamansi:
    Ingredients:
    1 kg ripe kamansi (breadfruit), peeled and sliced
    2 cups coconut milk
    1 cup coconut cream
    1 onion, chopped
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1 thumb-sized ginger, sliced
    2-3 red or green chili peppers (optional, for spice)
    Salt and pepper to taste
    Fish sauce (patis) to taste
    -bagoong(shrimp fish)
    Instructions:
    1.Pour in coconut milk and coconut cream. Bring to a boil, add the garlic, onions, ginger and sili haba .
    2.Bring to a boil , add the sliced Kamansi.Then, reduce heat to simmer.
    3. Season with salt, pepper and fish sauce to taste
    4. Add the boneless fish and bagoong(shrimp fish).
    5.Add the Knorr cubes.
    6.Simmer for another 5-10 minutes until the flavors meld and the sauce thickens.
    7. Serve hot and enjoy your ginataang Kamansi!
