- We did a new fish reveal on these the other week and I thought it was about time to do an update on these stunning American Cichlids

The last time you saw these they were in the process of spawning so let's see how they did with that

I am torn between grabbing some Multifasciatus la ceiba or some rio blanco rtm's right now. All the rio blanco I have seen are stunning. Nice pair!

I've seen and even myself kept P. motaguense in the past. The Rìo Blanco RTM's are kept by another good friend of mine named Michael.
Certainly i love this pair of yours specially i haven't seen enough females having that lengthy tipped dorsal fin.
They're slow growers though compared to other species coming from this genus.

They are f2 from COTA so from good stock these I snapped them up as soon as I saw them lol cheers for the support bud

Hi! i just got myself a pair ( 27 + 17 cm ) any advice on getting them to breed?:) just got them 2 days ago , i love my male aswell super underrated everyone talks about the female.. :P no stress to breed them but i finally got my tank all alone with only them so planning to get my first succesfull breeding going ! :) ( only had a surprise angelfish breeding before ) ( should i do water changes to trigger it or anything like that ? any help would be lovely THANKS
Hi yes I agree the males are amazing 👍 they are really easy to breed in fairness but the cold water change is always a good one to do thanks for watching 👍💯
@@bigfishlad4847 oh okay! i usually do a little hotter changes since i feel my heaters dont really get up to 27 , but usually stay around 25 ish so i try to get about 27 ish water coming in ( feeling with my fingers ) , but i will try 23-25 instead! thanks :D

The male was 13in the female is 6in 👍
What size tank do you need for them?
This one is a 450 litre, 125 US Gallon It's OK but I would like a bigger one and these will be pretty much fully grown

Yes I would say so mate a pair should be fine in that as long as its 5ft or more
