How to set up for HiFi, buy a Wiim Ultra and connect the RCA. Job done. The Wiim also has HDMI for the TV sound, a phono stage for a turntable, and you can plug in a CD transport, DVD player or such if you have such media. Want higher quality, buy an SMSL or Topping DAC, run the XLR outputs from the DAC, use the WIIM Ultra digital output to that DAC. @ADAMAudioBerlin Hello there. I'd like to use these monitors for my home cinema theatre. I'm going to use T8V speakers for front audio, and T5V speakers for surround. The main question is - what kind of speaker should I use for center channel?
@@ADAMAudioBerlin wouldn't that look weird? I mean these speakers are vertical, because the center speaker is usually horizontal. Can I use 2 T5V speakers instead of it (as center speaker)? Can I pair them so how?
Hi Владимир! The ideal is to use the same monitors (and if you cannot do the same model, at least the same series). So if you are already using T5Vs and T8Vs, we would recommend keeping using them. It is fine to use a vertical speaker in the center. Using a horizontal one is just for aesthetics and use that format if you have a screen at the center.
I have studio monitors without optical.i want to connect with tv...rca to jack headphones at tv is good option? Or better rca to male rca to female rca to male rca at tv left and right cable is better option?
I am in the process of selecting speakers for audiophile purposes (mainly computer streaming and turntable connectivity). I was under the impression that Studio monitors are quite clinical and flat compared to audiophile passive speakers by popular hifi brands thus resulting in a very underwhelming audio listening experience especially when the album recording is not so good. Am I missing something here? And if that’s the case which ADAM speaker series would you recommend as the most audiophile-friendly/oriented one?
Hi gpapa31! All the loudspeakers in our product range are designed to be the best can be for their position in the market. Clearly, if a product is more expensive the budget for parts on our side is higher and we can use better quality parts, so the S Series is more accurate than the T Series and the A series sits somewhere between the two.
@@ADAMAudioBerlin thank you for getting back to me. You didn’t give me an informative answer as to the audiophile friendly experience (compared to hifi establishes passive speaker brands). Yes ADAM speakers are among the best in the market but that’s Pro studio audio engineering market not the hifi listening one. That’s their primary purpose, correct?
Hi gpapa31! Yes, ADAM Audio is not producing HiFi audio speakers, but it doesn't mean our speakers are not valid for listening experiences for home entertainment. With the last message, we meant that for the best experience, we obviously recommend the S Series, which will be, of course, more accurate that the T Series.
@@ADAMAudioBerlin thank you for your feedback. I was leaning towards the latest A Series but if you feel the S is closer to my needs I’ll try that. Thank you again for your help.
I thought the Adams were supposed to be positioned about a meter away from the listener. Is there an audio quality problem having a pair of T7Vs 4 meters away?
Hi Guille! That would be necessary if you want to have the best results when mixing, mastering or producing in the studio, to have a perfect stereo result. But if you want to use them for home entertainment, it would be hard to be always in the sweet spot, and also there will be no need to get the same results as when you are in the studio.
Hi there! if you have a streaming device or any device with audio output capabilities, it's generally possible to connect it to studio monitors, provided you have the necessary audio output options on the device.
@@ADAMAudioBerlin Since the t5v's and the wiim pro both have RCA ports then I assume it's possible to connect two t5v's to the RCA output of the Wiim with 1x RCA audio cable ( white and red, white for 1 t5v and the red for the other t5v making both work as stereo)
Instead of the receiver, you could use an small mixer, then you can set the gain and always have level volume. But not for your tv, because of the commercials so, there you can insert a hardware limiter and... ohno, here we go again
Hi Bart! Yes, studio monitors are designed to reproduce sound with high fidelity and accuracy, which is essential for mixing and mastering audio. However, simply owning a pair of high-quality studio monitors does not automatically guarantee accurate sound reproduction. To achieve the best possible sound, it is important to set up your studio monitors correctly. This includes placing them in the correct position, adjusting their angle and height, and calibrating their frequency response. Additionally, the acoustic properties of your room can significantly impact the sound quality of your studio monitors. Factors such as room dimensions, wall materials, and furniture placement can cause sound reflections, resonance, and other acoustic issues that can affect the accuracy of your monitors. Therefore, a proper setup is necessary to ensure that your studio monitors are performing at their best and providing accurate sound reproduction.

Maybe one day someone will build studio monitors with USB input... Instead of converting the signal three times, you could get away with one time only. For this reason I am forced to go with Q Acoustics M20 instead of a nice pair of Adam Audio monitors:(
Hi there! USB means we are limited to two channels. We wanted A Series to also be compatible with larger systems such as 5.1, 7.1 and whatever 3D formats, so a network cable makes more sense for that. :)
Somehow the markets have created a false narrative that studio monitors are (or should be) different than home audio speakers. No doubt product marketers trying to create a niche market for themselves and yet people have been buying in the BS. The fact is whether you listen to audio in a home or in a studio the goal has always been high fidelity which means faithfulness to the original which means accuracy, which means a flat response. High fidelity has always been the goal of home audio since it's inception as they were the ones to coin the term. If you offer me a home or studio speaker that's not flat... I'm not interested. The reality is that speakers no matter the source sound so varied and different that a home speaker could just as easily sound similar or different from a studio speaker. It all depends on the speakers. Need I remind people that many "home" speakers have been used for monitoring in studios. B&W 801s for instance. Various Rogers, Harbeth and Spendor Loudspeakers have been used in BBC studios for decades. Deuche Gramophone used ADS 910s in their studios. All are home systems. JBL made identical speakers for both home and studio as did Altec. The only difference was in appearance, the home versions with stylized veneers. This schism that's been created seems to be a recent development perpetuated for marketing reasons.
TV audio is so whack though... ieven 5.1 hd surround is inferior to 2D uncompressed lossless. Never buy hi-quality speakers just for sound quality when doing TV audio. its a waste of money. That said is was worth watching Jane. Well played Jane.
Yeah, f u. Spend, place, fiddle with a receiever (whose other i/o remain unused) instead of using *ALREADY THERE* input/outputs of a tv. Add a frickin dac+hdmi or toslink out to your speakers. $50 bookshelves have them. Or just make one.

I have jbl 8in studio monitors and want to use them on receiver how can I do that?
Hello. What kind of speaker feet are used in this video ?
IsoAcoustics may be?
this is amazing
I own a Pair of T7V's which cables do you recommend ?
Hi Renegade! For the best quality of sound, we recommend using balanced cables (XLR).
@@ADAMAudioBerlin I went with mogami gold thanks
And what about TV HDMI Arc to receiver, then receiver RCA to speakers??
Hi Elixir! connecting it via RCA to speakers should work!
What if i want to Connect 4 Adam t5v monitors?
Hi Jolie! You would need a DAC or interface that allows you to connect more than two speakers.
Can i connect the T5V's to a Wiim Pro streamer ?
Hi there!
if you have a streaming device or any device with audio output capabilities, it's generally possible to connect it to studio monitors, provided you have the necessary audio output options on the device.
Hi Barraza!
yes, exactly :)
Where can I get those speaker stands?
Hi James! You can check out isoacoustics.com/
@@ADAMAudioBerlin what about the tall ones around 3:49?
Hi Diego! The floor stands are by ZAOR: zaorstudiofurniture.com/studio-furniture/stands/
Jane is legendary
Instead of the receiver, you could use an small mixer, then you can set the gain and always have level volume. But not for your tv, because of the commercials so, there you can insert a hardware limiter and... ohno, here we go again
Aren't
these "near-field"?
Are Studio Monitors no supposed to sound with High Fidelity? Isn't that the purpose of them? Why is needed a set-up? I'm confused.
I have 5.1 setup that contain 2 of F7's, three of F5's,(swiched last year from T7V's and T5V's bacause of wall mounts and auto turn off feauture for the same price) and sub 8 mII and it sound fantastic. Only problem, i don't have balanced raciever for connecting all of them. I vas asking for a video about home cinema setup for about a year))) Please help me. Because two of my friends have same problems.

All the best, Manuel.
@@ADAMAudioBerlin Fine, but where is that network connector on T series? This video presents T series... which only have analogue inputs.
Oh yes, the T Series only has analogue inputs.
the bass sucks on these😭 i wish i got some focal evo 50s
Who says "you can't listen to music on studio monitors..." 😂
Yeah, f u. Spend, place, fiddle with a receiever (whose other i/o remain unused) instead of using *ALREADY THERE* input/outputs of a tv.
Add a frickin dac+hdmi or toslink out to your speakers. $50 bookshelves have them. Or just make one.
What about just Bluetooth...
