The more brands and models have a locking mechanism based on the Benchmade axis-lock (which is totally fine) the more it goes to show in my humble opinion what a userfriendly and dependable locking mechanism that is! Thanks for sharing JB, sweet little knife!
I’m amazed by this knife. Got it yesterday and didn’t expect to love it that much. This is a perfect edc knife man. Deep carry, perfect Glyde lock, beautiful g10, 14c28N steel, €55 I mean come on it’s a perfect budget edc but believe me it feels high quality to me. Really happy with this one. It’s the first one that puts my TRM shadow out of my pocket since months. I like it way more than the banter and the yonder feels way more quality. Cheers 🍻 ps: this is a great Christmas present for non knife people to get addicted 😂 to knives I think.
QsP has a winner in the Canary. Whether it's with the liner lock or Glyde lock, it is a great size and design. Now, I just wish it didn't have the speed holes. It would be even better yet with a solid scale. Thanks JB
They lighten up the whole knife like milling a liner would do. To me it invites junk and lint etc into the knife but really all that can get into all folders.
Looks like you got an answer already. Yes it does lighten up the knife a bit. They don't require any more cleaning than a knife that doesnt have the holes.
Why did I watch this video.... Ordered another Canary with the glyde lock. I have a regular Canary that hadn't even arrived yet from an order last week before I pulled the trigger on another one... Lol😅
There was nothing wrong with the regular qsp canary. For me the canary and rat2 are the best "budget" edc knives........mines are modded, they have more droppploint blades now and i love them.

the Canary is a good looking blade!!
I dig it!!
Why are they called "speed holes?" Do they serve a purpose or are they just a cosmetic design? Thanks for this view JB!
