That’s my big brother right there (Chris Carbonell, vocals). I was only 7 years old at the time of this recording. He would do these shows, though I couldn’t quite comprehend how big it was at the time, and would still come and mess around with myself and our younger brother Evan the very next day when we were just little kids. I grew up around Josh, Nick, and Chad as a little boy. Good people making music together, that’s an incredible thing to me. I’m glad that moments like these have been preserved. I’d honestly like to have a file of this to enjoy forever. And for the true fans that may be wondering, yes (regardless of my bias), Chris is exactly as you imagine him. He is strong in his faith, he is a rock, and one of the most loving and understanding people that I’ll ever know.
Thanks for sharing, Cory. I was probably 6 at the time of this recording, and didn’t discover Strongarm until later in life. Still trying to start a hardcore band that can reach the heavens like this one did 🫡
I mean.....nobody will probably believe this but when I was in the military - these songs especially on the 2nd record meant a lot...being a newby Corpsman on the one of the two largest Marine Corps bases in the world getting ready to go to work each day and struggling for motivation as it was very lonely at times for me specifically
I'm not Christian but Atonement is a total bulldozer of an album that I've been listening to since i bought the tape when it was released. Absolutely love this band.
