I made a raspberry and blackberry version. WOW! It was delicious. After the first slices, we started putting slices with butter under the broiler and smearing cream cheese on it after it came out of the oven. Delicious! Currently, my oven and DO are heating to 450°F and I have a blueberry and white chocolate version to go in. 😊

I followed your video and used a mix of blackberries and raspberries. It was Delicious! We sliced some, buttered it and popped it under the broiler. We then added cream cheese…..WOW!

Thank you for this recipe. I made it twice already with the blueberries. It's a decadent dessert that is so yummy. My family and neighbors love it. It turned out perfect the first time I made it. The second time I made it the dough rose too much and it was twice as big as before. It was way too big for my dutch oven so I was forced to bake it in my stainless steel covered roaster pan. To my surprise it still turned out great.

FYI: I’ve been using Carob in place of chocolate for its health benefits which tastes just like chocolate but healthier ; )

Yes it does. By time it gets baked, the microbes have already done their fermenting job. They dont eradicate the gluten, but they break it down it so that the body can easily digest it.... unlike regular bread.

Hello, I was looking at the items to purchase to get into making sourdough bread. My question is what type of bowl should you use to mix in? I didn’t see a bowl on your shopping list? I have glass or metal bowls already but what is best? Thanks so much.

Somehow the whole wheat sourdough boule that is proofing on my counter right now doesn’t even begin to make me salivate like this video did. I’m dying to try this recipe with fresh cherries.

The cocoa powder wont taste good with this, but yes you can sub with reg chocolate chips instead of white... that will be yummy 👍🙂

I tried your recipe with blueberries. I followed it exactly but it didn’t rise and looks way underproofed after it cooled for 3 hours and I cut into it. It’s delicious, but no showstopper..lol
My starter is 3 months old, and this is my first try with a fruit inclusion.
How was the bulk rise? Did it fully double within 4-8 hours? The starter is old enough at 3 months, was it at least doubled after feeding & using?
@@CleanFoodLiving Yes, I did a small sample in a jar and it had doubled up. I think another time I will use less water. It was Robin Hood bread flour and maybe not as strong. I am up to the challenge! I cut it up in chunks and served it with frozen blueberry yogurt. It was a big hit!

I detest white chocolate with a passion. You said no substituions. Well can i swap foe semi, or milk chocolate, but follow to a T everything else?
I think subbing for semi or milk chocolate would be fine... I have not done it. Please let me know how it turns out if you do it!
I think the semi-sweet chocolate chips would be delicious with the combination of some of those fruits I don't care for white chocolate myself I can't hardly eat it I don't know what it is about white 🤣 I am going to try it with the dark chocolate!
Have you tried Carob ? It’s a much healthier alternative that tastes chocolatey but is natural not made with additives. I’ve bought both Carob chips and powder and use it for any chocolate-type recipes ; )
I forgot to put in it with the smooth side down and I forgot to put maple syrup on it. Whoops. But it looks good.

use a trick. make an important appointment outside for 2 hours while its cooling down. so not options for not to wait and the appointment will you make not to think about..
