One of my favorite SATC moments will always be when Sam calls Laney a bitch for stealing Charlotte’s baby name. She couldn’t care less about baby showers or kids, but she still had Charlotte’s back. ❤
Samantha was the only true girls girl in the group. Charlotte and Carrie slut shamed and Miranda (while I love her in the OG series) was so judgmental about Charlotte wanting to be a wife and mother. Samantha was more in line with "eh good for her not for me"
@@harunakirisaki2602 Season 3, Episode 16, called 'Frenemies'. This video could've just used this one episode to prove their point, it's entirely based around it.
It's 100% Charlotte. Not to mention she makes everything about her. Oh you can't have an affair because I'm married. You can't have an abortion-I'm infertile!
@@kerrajohnson3203I mean... Is being judgemental about someone having an affair so bad? Plus, her adding that she's married adds to Carries crime - Charlotte relates to Natasha. Makes her see Carrie in a new light.
@@kerrajohnson3203 ummm ...what ??? Charlotte said that Carrie shouldn't have an affair because Natasha was the one being hurt !! It had nothing to do with the wedding! She merely empathized with the real victim. And Charlotte never dumped her closed off views about sex onto others and act snarky. It's all Carrie . Carrie ( and Miranda ) was the most harsh about people being Bi , or enjoying different stuff . Charlotte was like " yeah ... I would never , but you do you " .
@@kerrajohnson3203 Charlotte is just traditional about how she wants it, but she's not judgmental. I dont agree with people like Samantha how they live their lives, but I dont judge I think it's good for them if they like it that way, that's just disagreeing but not judging. Also anyone with any sense of a moral compass would question somebody having an affair. You ain't a girls girl if you support a woman getting cheated on. Plus Natasha and Charlotte are a lot alike, and Carrie was on top of having an affair constantly criticizing Natasha for being "boring" etc just because she was jealous, as if it was Natashas fault that Big deemed Carrie not good enough to settle down with. At some point if you're in Charlottes shoes through all that you'd probably start to question how your so called friend truly sees you.
My fav moment was when Samantha's ex assistant throws a beach party behind her back, while Charlotte sleeps with some younger guy who gives her crabs. In the end, Samantha saves the party that went wrong and introduces her back-stabbing assistant to the crabs guy, says something like "you two have so much in common" or something 😆😆😆
The best moment is when at a baby shower an old friend steals Charlotte's baby name and Samantha's immediate reaction is just priceless the way she jumps at defending Charlotte)).
It actually makes perfect sense that Sam and Charlotte mirror each other. Charlotte represents Love in the friend group, while Samantha represents Lust. Love and Lust often go hand in hand, so for characters that are embodiments of these concepts, they would have a lot in common despite having a few key differences.
My favourite funny scene is the one where Sam is telling the girls about her guy's funky tasting spunk, and Charlotte just gets up and leaves. Miranda turns to Carrie and says "and she's never coming back!" That was soo funny. My boyfriend and I laughed so hard when we first saw it. Charlotte saying she thinks her vagina looks ugly and then Miranda saying "well maybe that's why it's depressed."
I always loved their scenes together. One of my favorites is the episode where Miranda's mother dies and the girls go to her hometown to support her at the funeral. Samantha's grief for her friend manifests in her inability to have an org*sm and culminates in her having a breakdown at the funeral. As Carrie goes to console Miranda, Charlotte holds Samantha and comforts her while she sobs. It was a really tender, beautiful moment between the two.
What never made sense to me is that Charlotte is portrayed as and acts like someone who is above casual sex and is repressed but she has a lot of bed partners in the series.
My favourite moment was the reveal that for all the rules and prudishness, CHARLOTTE YORK EATS ASS!!! The utter shock on all the girls' face and her just going, "What? I'm married!" was PRICELESS LMFAOOOOOO
Sam and Charlotte have a big/little sister dynamic. Especially, if you put all of them in that dynamic. Of the 4, Samantha is the oldest and Charotte is the youngest. Their roles aren't given as much time as the others (one on one situations), which reflects well on screen because that is reality. But they get mad and upset as all siblings do but always have each other's back.
One of my favourite moments is when Charlotte is frustrated she hasn't found her 'white knight' yet and in the end they agree to be each other's white knights.
It's a shame that they didn't spend more screen time together, as characters. They've had some very tender moments together. I loved how after one of their fights their reconciliation was Samantha's cheering Charlotte on, after she'd finally had sex with Trey, in the "Frenemies" episode, especially after they'd met their doppelgangers, only more extreme! I also enjoyed how Samantha had defended Charlotte, after Laney had stolen her proposed baby name, Shayla. Maybe Sam didn't care about baby showers or children, but she did care about her friends. Also, I love how you said that Samantha and Charlotte didn't settle for less, and then cut to the series finale, where Carrie and Big have their rom-com moment, in Paris. 😂
They’re the only remotely secure women on the show. Miranda is a desperate insecure narcissist with a chip on her shoulder and Carrie is just very very flighty.
None of the three women were friends with each other. They were all friends with Carrie. I've been in foursome friendships and this is a common dynamic.
I don't think that's true though there were instances when Carrie was off being Carrie and they still got together regularly for meals and drinks i.e. S1 E7 after Carrie gets all wrapped up in Big for a couple weeks S, C, & M still got together and hung out without her
Yes, yes, yes!!! I love this. I talked about this with my friends and my best friend and I mentioned how we feel as the perfect mix of Samantha and Charlotte. To me they’re the strongest characters. I loved Miranda but she was too insecure and Carrie had no self stem and was pretty immature. Samantha and Charlotte balance each other. ❤
I think also it’s because even though Charlotte claimed to want to be married she clearly didn’t. People who prioritize getting married are married by 25. They were more similar in personality regardless of what they claimed their personality was.

I don’t like the idea that Charlotte is a romantic and Sam is adventurous 😊 woman are complicated they can have all different traits at the same time 😅 both of them are romantic and adventurous
Would love to hear your take on celebrity DUIs - why do they happen so often??! These entitled celebrities have so much at their disposal, yet still so many get caught driving under the influence. Ridiculous.
They were part of the same circle of friends and Samantha was extremely loyal BUT they weren’t really best friends and rarely interacted with each other precisely for the hube difference in values and moral compass
I love Charlottes journey, with her realizing she doesn't need the "perfect man" or even marriage. But she was such a hypocrite judging Samantha, when she was probably the second most sexually active in the group. A LOT of the episodes were about Charlotte sleeping with someone she barely knew, like come on 😅😅
rewatching season 1 & 2 reminded me that Charlotte got down in the sheets almost just as much as Sam in these seasons. For someone who claimed sex is just for people in love! She was hypocritical
I used to think Carrie was the glue who kept the company together. But now I think company delevoped itself without Carries help. She just intoduced girls to each other. And at some point they might make secretly fun of Carries life choises.
Idc what anyone says, Charlotte was the worst. She was extremely misogynistic and hypocritical. She had plenty of one night stands through the series run but because they ‘wine and dined’ her first it’s somehow different. Please stop looking for positives in her.
