Aggro Stormcallers is becoming meta. There is a lot of talk about how to defend against it. Be sure to watch the recap to get a little more insight into how I decided to go about playing against it. Consider LIKING 👍🏼 and SUBSCRIBING ❤ if you enjoy playing, watching, and learning Mechabellum in a toxic-free environment.
My kids get excited when I say you posted a new video and we're watching it at dinner time they really like watching you do the robot battles thanks whooped for being PG
Great to see another video! Always enjoy watching yours. We are parasocial mechabellum buddies. really early, 3:31, you put phoenix on the back line (back left). I think this is an inefficiency because you don't need that much of a delay, and it can be abused by your opponent putting down fangs in that flank and occupying it for ages. Very minor thing but I don't think it has a ton of upside to place that extreme. Okay, back to your game!
I'd give you a B. I didn't like some of your positioning, esp early. And I'm curious about several plays of your opponent but that's neither here nor there. You're a better player than me. I'm only like 1200. But you don't have to be good to analyze. I'm bad at thinking under pressure tbh
Typically I put my Phoenix there because I want to take care of the flank (Sledgehammer, Arclight, Fire Badger, etc.). I'm not worried about chaff holding it up because I position my Arclights nearby to handle the chaff. That being said, it probably is inefficient. It's something I should look at for sure. I appreciate the insight.
@@WhoopedGG I think just a little further forward is fine, and a little more central, it will still cover the flank, but it will be more available for other tasks and still safe. This is the only part of the game I've really thought a lot about personally before hand while trying to improve so I shared. Thanks for talking. I also always appreciate your opinion, you've taught me plenty.
@@WhoopedGG I wish I could somehow post an image or something to display what I mean more clearly. Like what I mean about the chaff vs that specific position. Let me think about it.
It was a match full of possibilities (Rhinos, Wraith, Sledgies with mech rage and/or armour, etc...), it was great overall, green tier. Opp. may be kind of newish with aggro stormies, not setting some chaff or some type of AM to avoid the cheeky missiles is a must when doing it.
I rarely lose to storms aggro or not, for the same reason you said. I ignore them and only counter them if they are still around in later rounds. I think a lot of players are shocked when you ignore the storms. I also find that decent chaff with any range teched units can often beat storms without anti missile. My general rule is to counter storms only if they tech them or get four or more. Late rounds I'll get an AM for each storm if only two.
Yeah, that is more or less what I do as well. Basically ignore them until I can afford to get anti-missile without sacrificing other stuff haha. I think Storms were nerfed a little too hard given how effective anti-missile is.
In your place id played like this: Round 2: sledges in hyper aggro Round 3: Blender rhinos Ill keep the finale vote, i m not enough experienced to do so, but i played very well and not your signature standard. Well done!

p.p.s. i was worried that next round he'd go with 4 total fortresses with AA missiles and that would have been rough

Haha yeah he didn't learn his lesson the first time with missiles too :D :D
