This was the best version of Messi... I remember they were mostly playing with only Messi & Suarez upfront. No iniesta/Xavi... Your man was helping midfield taking all the pressure, taking all the fouls, creating all the attacks in absence of proper wingers and also scoring this many goals when he was closer to the box.

This is the fifth best player of last year. But fact is that on his personal quality, he's this good when he's 21s to till 32years old. He's by far the most naturally gifted footballer, with very simple, elegant, effective styles. Whether he's GOAT or isn't, no World Cup or isn't, his footballing capacity amazed me the most.

A few years ago i decided never to miss another messi game. I've watched every game he's played in ever since and i will not miss a single game in the future. Best decision i ever made.
