This is why I’m subscribed to Kail! This is also why I retired my Juri once I got her to Master. Once you hit Master, this game becomes a different monster.😖
At Master, people actually use their brains, so you need to get rid of all your bad habits, optimize everything and work A TON on your defense or else you get smoked in one interaction. It really feels like a different game. I recommend you go into Battle Hub with the intent of doing one of those things: -look for a jump and always go for an optimal anti-air -try to land only optimal combos -don't attack, just try to defend yourself (punishing unsafe strings or whiff punishing does not count as attacking) After you feel like you got the hang of all this on both sides of the screen, go into matchmaking. You'll notice significant improvement. Good luck on your journey and remember that you don't have to do all this if you're not having fun. It's a game, enjoy it :)
Kail is the best juri guides out here.. im a true fan and loyalist lol, i remember using juri and was a noob, then i found kail’s channel, and hes the reason how i mastered feng shui
Love the vid Kail! The only problem I have with it is Ken can delay his heavy Jinrai follow ups to have a slight gap, so it isn't always a true blockstring. The OS you showed is cool and all, but it's not optimal imo because his light jinrai is always punishable, the medium low is also punishable, and the heavy one doesn't have a true blockstring into it unless it's from a driverush normal. He also has different audio queues for each jinrai. He only says "jinrai" when it's the heavy one, he says "deeyah" for the medium one, and idk what he says for the light one but if you hear him say something other than those two then just start pressing buttons because it's very fake. Light jinrai is very punishable on block and it isn't even a true blockstring into the light follow up. So you have two opportunities to get a full punish counter combo if he ever does it.
This is one of the best and most useful guides for SF I've seen. I've been stuck around 1500 MR but I'm going to try all these tips and hopefully that will help me push a little farther. Thanks for the awesome video!
This is a format I've been thinking of doing for a while. A lot of the guides I do, I have to overcome the "imposter syndrome". Like "I'm not good enough to speak on things and make guides...". So your freedback really helps, thank you!
@@BigNastyKail I've been following your content since I picked up SF6, keep it pushing dude, your videos are top tier and I watch a lot of SF6 content trying to catch up with everyone else who has been playing for years. A lot of what I learned here helped me hit master with Juri as a new player! I feel you on the imposter syndrome, I went through it as a Smash Ultimate streamer/content creator but I realized that everyone is at a different place in their learning so they might need content from someone at my level, or maybe they value how I explain something even over a top player? Either way, you're also nasty at the game and you're bringing new ideas to the table so you're definitely not an imposter. I hope to see you go far with SF6 and content in general.
Another fantastic video from Sensei Kail…bro your ability to create guides and teach is outstanding! You’re genuinely one of the reasons my Juri gameplay stepped up…I am still working to get better but you’ve helped immensely. Keep doing the good work Chief. 👏🏾👏🏾
Take note, Dhalsim players will start taking note and they will stop...but thats good! Once they stop throwing limbs out we can move around the screen more.
I always saw you as a very smart but misguided Juri apologist. My brother you made a guide that is universal to a large degree but also shows juris match up intricacies to non Juri players. The best damn tutorial I’ve ever seen on TH-cam and trust me there are good ones. I just subbed. Keep going sir.
MISGUIDED APOLOGIST?! 😭😭😭😭 that’s what the streets are saying!!??! I’m glad the video found you and you found some value. I just want people to enjoy sf6, and not struggle as much as I do. It’s a fun game, but frustrating walls are often a motivation killer. Appreciate the kind words 🙏
Sound effects in this are really important too, you can hear what the character says and knows if its a L,M or H atk, so you can notice if its punishble
I really do wish Juri gets an anti-fireball tool in the future. Her divekick having multiple trajectories (like in SF4) OR go ohsatsu having a projectile hitbox (like in SFV) would be enough for me.
Its funny. I get a LOT of flack for asking for anti fireball stuff (they need to read the comments section, everyone is asking for one). But then I say "Even if they gave me multiple trajectories on my dive kick it would help so much". Most of the time people go "oh...thats fair...". I'm a believer of quicker balance patches and smaller adjustments to try and boost a character. I say, give Juri this one change and then see how it feels. It might not make fireballs easier to deal with, but it might make Juri players feel like they have the agency to win.
Also, for bison : - bison players tends to do his air attacks when they are full screen. Keep in mind that these moves can cover a lot of space and reach you full screen, but it's pretty slow. Wait for the right moment and DP them when they're in rangé - when they spam cisors kick, not only they are minus so this is fake pressure, but if they are close enough you can always standing light kick into light DP or light fuha to punish counter. If he is too far, your standing light kick will whiff but you'll still be safe !
Juri main here finally landed on master rank all because of nasty kail monster Juri inspiration i hope one day I can pull of some of his nasty stylists feng shui combos , fingers crossed lol
good stuff, as always. really appreciate tips like on kim. more mental. i def get discouraged when she and others put me in the blender. gotta focus up on offense and remember it's part of the game.
Every thing in this game comes with risk. Thats kind of the beauty of the game. You can always perfect parry something. You can always make them guess wrong in a 50/50. But if you do get the right call out, you gotta make the best of it! Some rounds...they're just not yours. Shake it off. What are we doing for the next round?
Great video kail, i can tell you worked really hard on this one, and putting the characters at the bottom of the screen in alphabetical order as well 😮. Even tho the video will get lots of views due to great content, it may get even more if time stamp by character. I can see people tallying back here for specific character match up advice,(is something id do) but i know its alot of work.
What i saw watching Mago playing against Bison players is that scissors at close range can be punished by a light kick and a light DP, is pretty helpful if the Bison player is spamming scissors up close, really aprecciate all the tips, learning Juri and climbing the ranks is hard but very rewarding!
i've been told bison can't reversal super you, when you use meaty lights instead of mediums, when you got him to the ground... however, he still somehow did, since my timings suck, lol. but this i will test out more.
@soramercury7074 bisons level 1 is 10 frames. Juris quickest attack is 14 frames total. So if you can meaty lp you definitely can. It just needs to be super meaty.
@@BigNastyKail You put Ryu's Fireball as an example to jump by reaction and get a punish (at the beginning of the video)... and that is impossible. Only a few fireballs are reactable to get a punish... that's what "most" is the first word of the sentence in my post.

I'm surprised you didn't talk about standing light kick being a punish counter to scissors kick on block at most ranges
This is GOLD
If you use safe jumps against charge characters they cannot delay invincible reversal like others can.
Amazing content
For ken's jinrai he says "jinrai" when it's a heavy and doesn't when it's either a medium or a light, so pay attention to what he says 😉

most of the fireballs are not reactable... To punish one, it has to be a hard read
False. Akuma, chun, guile are tough. They could use od. But the point is it’s possible.
