    It was an absolute pleasure to work with Greg and Dom on this one. We create these videos and spend hours, days, and weeks working on them out of love (trust me, money is not a factor here at all). We hope you guys enjoy these videos, they really come from our hearts to your screens.

    Holy crap dude! The holy grail of my childhood dreams right there. I stared for hours at the MB Action article on the Manitou version of this frame. I have collected most of my favorites from back in the day. My most recent is a Ventana El Habanero that was my cousin's. We used to ride together back in the 90's. Many miles of jealousy riding behind that old classic. She now is displayed next to my RTS-3 that I rode with him. I love these old bikes. Transports you back to the best time of mountain biking. All the small cnc shops cranking out pure coolness. Back when all the big names were made right here in the USA. GOOD fricken times. I just can't spend the money they want for the modern stuff all slapped together in China. I'll spend it on these old rides in a heart beat. Last new bike I purchased was in 2007. Still got her. I went with a Rocky Mountain Element 50. Handmade in Canada. All my favorites had sold out by then. No way I was going to drop that kind of cash just for a name. The brands are all dead to me. And yes I know my RTS-3 is Taiwan, but it's all I could afford in '96. I do have an RTS-1 that's going to be an epic build. The 3 was built over the years I rode it. She's running GT Tech Shop cranks, Hadley hubs, XTR drive train and V brakes. Thompson elite stem, monkey lite carbon bars. She's a piece of art. The 1 is going to be just as built. Already picked up some blue anodized Hadley's laced to Mavic rims, and a full XT drivetrain including V brakes for it, oh and a Race Face crankset of the era. It's an addiction for sure. Now I just have to actually ride them. Lol

      @ButterSuspension  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well they certainly look rad, but a 2.1 that actually measures out at 1.9 probably wouldn't last one ride under me. 🤣

      @@ButterSuspension they are super narrow! They look comically small compared to modern tires, but they will definitely look period correct there.
      And as a fellow "man of size" you have to run like 30-35+ psi in them. I have them set up tubeless and they actually work well, haven't blown a bead... yet 😂 Not as harsh as I thought they would be.
