I personally prefer vecnas flow it was sweet and felt accurate for the character but the old man's disses were a lot stronger and demolished vecna

I feel like the only reason why the old man won I because you get to learn a lot about vecna/Henry in Stranger Things. All the stupid things like how a 9 year old created the upside down and made him like that. His weird, horrible past. Meanwhile i believe you barely get to learn about the old man. Nothing about his past or anything. So he had an advantage.

In that sense, I’m glad that the 001 with more material went second. I honestly want to say Ilnam won, but I’m still super indecisive and don’t want to give a franchise a second loss.

I'd say Ill nam's ending line was actually the best one as throughout the whole battle he was breaking down henry/vecna's backstory & blasting him.
Imo personally, Vecna's reveal in the show was incredible; not only with flawless buildup & recontextualisation - but also the delivery and execution from the actor. With that being said, his motivation was very weak. It was basically "I want to be a *predator* that breaks the natural structure of the world because I was born with the abitlity to do so & also im pissy this 9 year old beat me". So ill-nam basically makes fun of his weak motivation by turning it into a joke, that he's an actual predator.
You seriously need to check out GamingPlush64's Danganronpa battles. Starting with "Mondo Owata vs. Steel Wool".
