I actually applaud someone that starts running something spicy to have some fun. Often you'll see people still running the usual "Meta" crap even when it's clear they're heading in the wrong direction (based on their ELO), and just aren't going to climb any more, but to each his own.

I played a huge amount of legends when I was at 2600-2700. I never complained about that, I just saw that as tests to see if I’m worthy of hitting legend or not. I win some I lose some. It’s all part of the game. I respect you and your commitment to spice. 👍

The copyright policies are based off whatever the artist/record label has set up. Most of them don’t allow you to use their music at all (and still collect revenue) but a few allow “revenue sharing” where you can use their music but have to split the income with them. I tend to look for the artists who don’t have copyrighted music. There aren’t a ton out there but there are a few good ones. Also I don’t shoutcast my own battles live. I record them and shoutcast them later. I do shoutcast viewer submitted battles in live time however. I don’t watch them before I commentate them

Hardcore metal runs through and through my blood but I can pretty much tolerate just any genre. Finding your channel and watching your commentary has really motivated and helped me to become better at pvp. You and Jamiefin1415 are my favourite pvp channels out there.

The dude that complained about you is most likely same person that sent me a Compliment on Yelp to let me know they were offended by my word choice for a review I did of a Thai restaurant.
For more perspective on what Yiu said at the beginning. Today I did a 5-0 set where 3 battlers were Experts (this was the 2300s). Just because someone fell doesn’t mean they were trying to. I’m pretty sure those Experts I faced were very disappointed in not getting Legend yet.
31-4 run for me in UL with Pidgeot/Cobalion and Virizion Pidgeot is like DD in the lead. I’ve learned it is so flexible and people miss out when they go straight FD in the lead rather than BBirding and dipping. I’ve one shot so many Charizard leads because people thought the FD was coming. I play it that way because you either get major damage or take shields Watching how you play with DD in the lead and practicing with it myself has helped me with Pidgeot usage
You could try Cofagrigus or Umbreon. Pretty similar coverage but the Return on Sabeleye is really what makes it shine. Also the Dark/Ghost typing only has one weakness. Sableye definitely an investment to put on your list!

Aslash is an interresting safe swap lol. Its either going to really work or really not. I might make a team with that as the plan but not a "safe" swap. Like use it as the counter to what youve lost the lead to...swamp or now froakie proabably works better for that idea.

No one likes losing to spice but if he wasn’t hard countered by your spice, that’s on him. I like playing Legend players in the 2600’s. It’s good practice to get better (even more so if they’re not running full spice).
Appreciate the tips. I find recognizing win cons for myself and the opponent in the moment challenging. I'm just getting used to throwing on good timing and trying to work in keeping track of opponent energy as the next step. EDIT: Swampert wins CMP over Poliwrath
i have no problem with tanking, even purposely, i saw someone running a hundo level 50 alolan vulpix and level 50 wooloo, tanked to 300 elo (the floor) and then went back to legend, absolutely wild stuff
Honestly they could easily fix their rating system by implementing a floor. If you hit legend, make your floor 2900. Or, don’t let you drop 200 less than the highest you hit. The current system is set up to reward tanking on purpose so I can’t really blame anyone for doing it. That said, it IS a bummer when you’re trying to push elo and run into legends with spice teams that hard counter the team you’re grinding with, cuz you’re trying to hit 3 wins at least a set and the person you’re playing doesn’t care if they win a majority. Again, it’s set up in a way to reward that, so what can you do

Thinking legends are selfish for beating you because they've already achieved their goal whilst you're still pushing for your goal is quite literally the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Do you expect them to give you a free win? Because that wouldn't work at all. Look at it this way, let's say you just hit legend & you're barely above 3000 elo. Next set you face 3 people in the high 2900s. If they all believe you should gift them a free win so that they can hit legend, you'll be guaranteed to lose elo, because you only faced 2 previous legends that set & can at most win 2 games. So you end up dropping more elo & big surprise, next set you now see 5 trainers in the high 2900s that all expect a free win. You give them all the free win & suddenly you're in the 2800s. What happens now? Most of the trainers you face won't have hit legend & you can literally do nothing but continuously lose elo because everyone's expecting you to give them a free win. They're expecting legend players to stop enjoying the game & playing the way they want to play so that it makes their climb slightly easier. They're the real selfish ones, thinking everyone should cater to how they want the game to be played, neglecting everyone else's experience. I'm also in a similar boat for the background music situation. I personally produced all the tracks I use in my videos & shorts because I wanted my content to be completely unique. I'm aware that not everyone is going to like the style of music I make, but that's just how it is. I get the occasional comment saying that they don't like my background music, telling me I should use other music, but I'm not going to do that. If they can't watch through a fun Pokemon GO video because of a song in the background that's barely audible, they're just being overly fussy & I don't care if they don't watch my content.

That gives them a much better chance at winning than if I was deliberately tanking and then running meta once I got low enough. Like you said it’s literally unsustainable to give away free wins anyway. As far as the music goes, I love the music on your channel. I always thought it sounded super unique and when I learned awhile back that you made it yourself, I was super impressed. If I had any musical talent I would do the same thing lol. But I will say, I played someone who hit legend already this season in the 2600s the other day who was running a fast move beat down team and it was kind of annoying to me. It wasn't even a spicy fast move beat down team. It's like at that point why are you even playing the game, you already hit legend just have fun.

It's crazy what you can do using a bunch of cracked plugins & watching a load of TH-cam tutorials lol. I started making music because the main genre I listen to has changed over the years & it just doesn't sound the same anymore, so I made the kind of music I want to listen to lol.

Love your content, man! I never mind playing legends in the lower ranks, I actually think it's exciting. But I will say, I played someone who hit legend already this season in the 2600s the other day who was running a fast move beat down team and it was kind of annoying to me. It wasn't even a spicy fast move beat down team. It's like at that point why are you even playing the game, you already hit legend just have fun.
