I was a collegiate swimmer. During the peak of competition season, we would train up to 25-30 hours a week. It absolutely killed my body as a 18/19/20 year-old college student. I had chronic back & shoulder pain from the intensive training. Hearing that a seven year-old is training for 25 hours a week is absolutely shocking. I understand that a child could have a true passion for dance, but is all of that training, at such a young age, really worth it? Especially when it comes at the expense of their childhood?
I agree that 7 (and even 9 which is when I hit 20-25 hr weeks) is too young. Unfortunately, intense training like this is fairly typical in the dance world, especially the ballet world. I was hitting 5-8 hour days training/rehearsing by the time I was 16, and was doing school work on top of that. I'm glad for the career I have because of it, but that kind of training definitely left its mark.

My jaw literally dropped hearing all of this. Like…What. The. Fuck. How can these mothers treat their children this way and live with themselves? Like, that’s your CHILD. How do they not feel ashamed?
the worst moms: jackie lucia (video should've been enough) yolanda (forced elliana to stretch until she cried like sophia, abuse allegations, clearly exploiting her on social media and had her join pipers squad which is a whole other rabbit hole) jess (should be kinda obvious at this point, jojo didn't have a chance at a normal childhood. jess wanted her famous the minute she was out of the womb) quinn sisters mom (she was barely on the show but she clearly pimps out coco similar to how elliana is)
My kids danced with a couple of those kids on occasion and was friendly terms with them. They were nice kids. One of the kid’s parents searched her kid’s mouth in front of everyone to check if she ate a strawberry! But she wasn’t the craziest. We knew kids whose parents had them on very restrictive diets- everyone knew it. We saw kids in the studio day in day out even at a young age. Kids would be doing photoshoots in the cold or the extreme heat, and late into the night. Moms would say rude things to other kids before they went on stage to freak them out. Really crazy and extreme behavior was not normalized by Dance Moms; the dance world was already broken. The extreme behavior was not unique to the dance moms show by any means. We have known kids who danced when they didn’t want to, several who ended up hospitalized due to heart and bone issues due to malnourishment. The darkest thing my kids ever observed I won’t write here but the studio in question knows what it is. It starts as an innocent endeavor but at the highest levels gets very dark. Dance Moms just profited off of drama that was already going on.
I always really felt for Christi, because even though she was often the most volatile, it seemed so clear that she genuinely loved Chloe and wanted what was best for her. And she was always the first to give a kid a pep talk, regardless of whether it was her own.
It definitely is. It’s so sweet that she and her sister were so close that she learned to take of her when they were so little but it’s heartbreaking to know she had to learn to take care of her little sister when she was a little girl herself

Absolutely. In my opinion, Christi is the second best mom - after Kelly. They got their kids out as soon as possible, and they never abused them. Christi, being a bit pushy, isn't abuse, and Kelly wasn't abusive at all.
To be honest I think the only one who wasn’t was Holly…. Everyone else showed signs of being a stage mum but Holly only ever did what Nia wanted and stood up for both Nia and herself and even on occasion the other girls
I would say Kelly wasn’t one either. I mean she openly admitted that she didn’t care if her children won all the time and was fine with pulling solos for the sake of Brooke or Paige’s well-being. Her mom is a fitness model and looks like she placed that intense pressure on Sofia. I think Sofia is in recovery from an eating disorder and I think her mom is to blame. It's child abuse.
Wth? My mom is like a nutritionist and she isn't even one, yet she wouldn't do that 😭?? It's just a strawberry.

Melissa being a stage mom should’ve been more highlighted. She was a snake and sabotaged several kids. She would do any and everything to get Maddie ahead.
Yep
So true
Yolanda and Jess are definitely the top stage moms of DM. They both did so many toxic things and pushed the girls to collaborate with straight toxic people in the name of fame (interestingly both with toxic TH-camrs).
Kristie Rae. Watch literally ANY of Raising Asia.
Ashlee
Melissa
Jill
Christie. Kira
Holly and Kelly (not really stage moms but had a few stage mom moments)
Christi or Christy?
Holly was a fake 😡
@chestnut45134 honestly, it's because she wasn't there for more than like 2 3 episodes that I didn't include her. She is clearly a stage mom but doesn't really seem to be on the level of a Yolanda or Jess. Probably closer to Ashlee without being as obviously crazy on camera.
@chestnut45134 A lot of dancers “sit” or put their foot on the backs of other dancers to help them with their stretches. If Jackie was crazy stage mom she would’ve kept Sophia on the show to get her ahead but she didn’t cause she didn’t want her child in toxic environments.
I don’t blame Kira for blowing up like that, I couldn’t imagine anyone having the nerve to tell a 4 year old to “get the fuck out”😭
i was just about to comment this!!! like wtf it doesn’t matter if the girl is 19… at 19 she SHOULD know better
The relief I felt finding this comment is a problem I now need to go unpack in therapy - wayyy too invested hehe!
If someone said get the f out to my 4 year old or any 4 year old I would probably react like Kira. It doesn’t matter the age of the workers age either.
Agreed. I’m confused as to why MackZBoss included this in here- the incident that triggered Kira’s reaction was objectively wrong.

I did see christi putting too much pressure on Chloé. I am proud that she did/does regret it.
I do believe Ashley and Brynn that jess was rude to them.
@@N84Lyfe But then in Brynn's podcast they mentioned that the Jill and Ashlee drama was all fake cause Brynn always hung out with Jill and Kendall and Kendall always hanging out with Ashlee and Brynn but then Jess was ACTUALLY rude to Ashlee and Brynn not just fake for the show like Jill and Ashlee.
@@ilvenia_yes I always reference Brynn’s podcast with Ashlee ! It’s the fact that Ashlee herself confirmed that only mother that actually didn’t want her there is jessalyn🙁
This video was very insightful, but the one thing I thought was a bit weird was that you seemed to suggest that Kira was entitled for causing a fuss about the employee. Kira has done plenty of entitled things both on and off the show, but getting someone fired for cursing at her 4 year old is not one of them. If you are incapable of being pleasant with literal toddlers, you simply can't be working in customer service.
Kira is a racist by the way.
That's not entitled behavior at all, in my opinion. I would have freaked out too if someone said that to my child. If I could, I definitely would have gotten them fired. That's just not okay behavior.
I…. Kind of wonder how much truth there is to that story. I think Kira is very shady and I don’t trust her.
@@SueP-DYESSSS. I dont trust kira and jess the most out of all the moms
But was she being honest though?
According to Abby, Kristie was a sloppy drunk AND a micro-managing perfectionist. Which is it?? She contradicts herself regarding the moms with whatever narrative fits the moment.
Abby also said “Melissa was the one that didn’t want holly and Nia in Australia with us”… like Abby ever gave a crap what the moms wanted, thought, felt, or preferred
That clip of Lillie dipping Ellie was PRECIOUS!!!
Kristie or Christi sloppy drunk?
Asia’s mom was DEFINITELY a stage mom
true but why are you bringing it up - she wasnt mentions in the video

I was so interested that Kendall’s mom wasn’t mentioned in this video!!!
Same. Jill was extreme.
I imagine Jill was more for tv sake like what we saw of her was more to do with the fact that she was playing a role or that production staged or made certain scenes look worse than what it was I mean Jill after the show was over made Kendall return to school because she had missed 10 years of schooling and that she wanted her to have an education before anything else which is very un stage mum like
Jill was playing a role for the show, unlike everyone else that came on the show after her
You should have included the part where Jess specifically said that she intentionally left Brynn and Ashlee out, and purposely bullied Brynn. (In her podcast) She’s probably the only mom that wasn’t sorry for her actions, even though Jill did said some things to Brynn. At least Brynn and Ashlee knew it was for drama.
It was so obvious Jess for whatever unknown reasons did not like Ashley and Brynn she was terrible to them
Ashlee confirmed this in the podcast with Brynn !! She said Jess was the only one who she thought didn’t want her there .
My jaw literally dropped hearing all of this. Like…What. The. Fuck.
How can these mothers treat their children this way and live with themselves? Like, that’s your CHILD. How do they not feel ashamed?
Stacy in season 8 totally had a deal with the producers that she would fabricate drama, I'm convinced.
Or Joanne...
fr, bc she was not like that at all in season 6&7😭 like it was all so cringey and fake
“She’s only 19 🥺” dude the person she swore at was only FOUR YEARS OLD
the worst moms:
jackie lucia (video should've been enough)
yolanda (forced elliana to stretch until she cried like sophia, abuse allegations, clearly exploiting her on social media and had her join pipers squad which is a whole other rabbit hole)
jess (should be kinda obvious at this point, jojo didn't have a chance at a normal childhood. jess wanted her famous the minute she was out of the womb)
quinn sisters mom (she was barely on the show but she clearly pimps out coco similar to how elliana is)
My kids danced with a couple of those kids on occasion and was friendly terms with them.
Spot on!! 100% agree! Thank you
If Kira’s kid was told “get the f out” then she has the right to be mad.
Especially when the kids is literally four.
I always really felt for Christi, because even though she was often the most volatile, it seemed so clear that she genuinely loved Chloe and wanted what was best for her. And she was always the first to give a kid a pep talk, regardless of whether it was her own.
The “im not gonna feed you!😀” had my jaw on the FLOOR
These videos r so great! Thanks for making them.
I think maddie stepping up at a young age to help her sister is so sweet yet so heartbreaking at the same time 😭
It definitely is. It’s so sweet that she and her sister were so close that she learned to take of her when they were so little but it’s heartbreaking to know she had to learn to take care of her little sister when she was a little girl herself
I agree with kirra telling off that employee tho, i mean why yell at a 4 yr old wtf
I would probably say, MOST of the moms on "Dance Moms" were stage moms-- Only exception would be Holly.
Please do an uncovered on all the reboots. Abby/Brandon TV’s “Madhouse,” Abby’s “Season 9/Dance with Me”, Lifetime’s OG Reunion, and the Dance Moms reboot with Studio Bleu that’s slated for either cable or streaming
I really dont understand why so many ppl liked Asia's mom she was AWFUL
Putting lots of pressure on your child is probably the worst thing you can do, like, you're just gonna freak your child out, and I don't think that makes a kid want to dance
bro 19 year old telling a 4 year old to get the fuck out is crazy, she deserved to be fired.
Ellianna looks way to old for her age . She looks like she’s 29 . She’s legit barley 16 .
I agree but maybe she could've just started puberty early -- I started puberty when I was like, 8 or 9
She doesn't look like she's 29 whatsoever. I swear people will see a teenage girl with some makeup and automatically claim she looks older than her age 💀
@@mizisjsjshdoh not her body (I feel icky saying anything about her body) it’s the way she dresses that makes her look 18,19,20
It is really hard for me to believe that any of og moms, even Melissa, would call a kid "ugly". My guess is that this is just another of Abby's lies. Since Hannah was there when Abby said/lied that, I will say that I felt very sorry for Hannah during her time on DM, but now I see that she supports this child abuser, so I feel really disappointed in her.
I think Christy who had Sarah was a massive stage mom. She would act crazy on camera but everyone said that actually she was very nice lol.

Christi was the most protective because of how Chloe was treated by Abby
Abby was created in this narrative that Chloe a Subpar second rate dancer to the public. And Christi pushed Chloe so Abby’s narrative wouldn’t win 🏆 now she regrets playing into Abby‘s narrative. Desperate to prove Abby wrong 😑. instead of just encouraging Chloe to have fun 🤩
Absolutely. In my opinion, Christi is the second best mom - after Kelly. They got their kids out as soon as possible, and they never abused them. Christi, being a bit pushy, isn't abuse, and Kelly wasn't abusive at all.
The fact Cathy seems proud of starving vivi n forcing her to do that dance-
2:04 not the sickled foot 😭
To be honest I think the only one who wasn’t was Holly…. Everyone else showed signs of being a stage mum but Holly only ever did what Nia wanted and stood up for both Nia and herself and even on occasion the other girls
I would say Kelly wasn’t one either. I mean she openly admitted that she didn’t care if her children won all the time and was fine with pulling solos for the sake of Brooke or Paige’s well-being. Also, when Paige was having panic attacks she referred to dance as an extracurricular activity instead of a career. I don’t think she cared about her kids becoming famous I think she just wanted them to be happy.
@@waitwhat2915I agree that Kelly was not a stage mom at all. Holly was a little bit because she constantly fought for Nia to get solos. Kelly didn't care at all about that - she just didn't want Abby to be cruel to them.

I think at times, Christi did apply pressure on Chloe, but it seems like that her heart was in the right place. She wanted her daughter to be herself. Christi started out as a normal mom imo then let the fame get to her. To this day I look at Chloe’s social media and she still looks so sad then we have Christi with new business ventures, filming stuff, shopping all the time, always in Paris. She definitely started living vicariously through Chloe.
I saw that too
I have to say the same, yet I'm not sure. I mean she can start a new business and live her life like she wants but then again we can't really tell what they're actually like behind the camera
That's not fair. They are extremely close - and you can be sure Christi has never used a dime of Chloe's. Chloe is also really close to her dad and her sister. She is happy and well-adjusted.
