for anyone having trouble with this method, you need to make sure your products don’t have ingredients that interfere with one another. don’t use powder that contains talc/mica with water-based moisturizer, primer, or foundation as it causes pilling bc the powders don’t dissolve in water. same case for oil vs water-based products. obviously the two don’t mix, so you’ll end up with an uneven and lifted base.
all this to say, if your ingredients don’t make this method easy for you, just do what you normally do! you probably look great anyway 💕

Make sure your foundation and sunscreen are the same type, either silicon based or water based.
For water based stuff the dtarting ingredients are "aqua" and for silicone based just look for ingredients like dimethicone and words ending with -one -con

everyone has different skin that reacts differently to products and amount of product, i personally cannot use too much base products and have to wait for all my skin care steps to absorb before moving to the next to avoid pilling. i agree with the other commenter tho, sunscreen is usually the problem, maybe rub it in as much as u can, wait for it a dry a little. if it still pills, the this may not be for u

It’s all about giving time between steps but also about what setting spray you’re using, I suspect using a matte setting spray could cause issues unless you’re very oily, I would go very lightly on the powder guys, she says that in the video but she went pretty hard on it (she also knows this routine and knows how much she can use, so to her this doesn’t “seem” like much but this is a lot of this specific powder, bc this powder actually has coverage too). I’ve done this and it’s pretty effective but it’s all about how the products play together, if it’s not working for you it most likely is bc one or a couple of your products is too matte or “siliconey” (I just made that word up lol).

I have very dry skin and when I tried this, I made sure that everything was exfoliated and well prepped. Then I added sunscreen and let it be for a few minutes. Then a thick, heavy moisturizer, preferably one that makes your skin shiny. Let that sit for a few minutes. And I know she used a brush but try to use a puff or sponge instead. Put on a VERY thin layer of powder and you have to douse your skin in setting spray and then let it dry COMPLETELY.

ATTENTION: Do not believe this poster. Any dermatologist will tell you sunscreen first. She sells products or sponsors them. Another one of those “influencer” skin care people. If you want skin advice, ask a dermatologist or esthetician. She is neither, nor a professional. She is paid to review products she likes and promote them.

Eh. This isn’t good for humid places. My face makeup was separating and I looked like an oily mess a few hours in. My nose was bright red . It disappeared there first
